Of course it will- it took me from third grade until eigth grade to finally stop being mean to her and become her friends! Everything takes time, you just have to be willing to give that time... Omgosh, the stoned guru in me returns XD.
Yeah, that did seem a tad harsh... But the only advice I can give is forgive and forget<- seriously works, if it didn't I wouldn't have Amanda as a best friend... we were enemies, until she hit a boy over the head with the book Uglies because he was picking on me- I forgave her for stealing my sister from me and now we're buds XD.
Woah, hey, I'm not trying to insult you. I get that everyone has their breaking point, and I know what it's like to know everyone around you is whispering about your sexuality behind your back, but never hear anything to your face. BOY do I know. But lashing out at people in the heat of the moment only makes things worse. I am sorry you were insulted. I know what that's like. I suppose...the whole thing just blew up. Everyone handled it the wrong way.
I can overreact often as well- but I try and make a point of saying I overreacted... like the other day, when I was trying to explain that I use the word Fetish the correct way, with the correct meaning- not the current way. I got mad because people were freaking out on me, I wanted to scream at them to go look at a dictionary.
What is the astonishment? By the way- flute is an awesome instrument, my older sister plays flute and she's graduating and she went to state a ton of time, and then Mark- really popular dude at my school, blegh- he plays Flute AND piccolo and nobody gives him crap about it. Flute is awesome- I'm learning it this summer, actually. Moving on- why the astonishment?
Goddamn. Er...wow. I just SKIMMED those blogs and I could feel the venom seeping out. I admit, for the longest time I thought you were a girl, but...hot damn. I think you BOTH just need to chill out. Yes, his comment was rude and unfounded -- I'm not disagreeing with that. And yes, I understand that at a certain point, everybody just snaps (trust me, I've been there). But to be perfectly honest, I do think you could have handled the situation better.
And I know plenty of straight guy flautists. :-/ I never understood what the huge deal with that was...
