  • I only semi-am. I just like having a full party at all times (especially since I have the Exp. Share going). So, besides my main duo, I've got the Beldum, plus a Fire Fang Poochyena, a Zigzagoon because yeah, and a Beat Up Nuzleaf.

I didn't realise Beat Up was a noteworthy move for a Seedot to have.
I'm right behind you, as of that update, it seems. I played a bit more this morning, and I'm in the Trick House. I'm taking a break, because my battery was dying.

Yes, I got the Beldum as soon as I could, although I'm focusing my efforts on keeping Ezra as my main and Jemima the Ralts as back-up. I'm surprised at how relatively balanced my team is, this time.
I've just beaten Roxanne, and I've already developed a story surrounding Ezra and his teammates. Game-progress-wise, though, I don't know when I intend to resume playing.
Perhaps I'm being pedantic, but it really comes across as if he doesn't care, considering how professional he usually is. And, considering how well he knows the game, it's not like he doesn't know these things are going to come up.

Anyway, I've played a bit of Omega Ruby. I currently have Ezra the Mudkip and his sidekick, Tamara the Poochyena.
He couldn't pronounce "aubergine" properly, then, when it was explained to him in terms he'd understand (i.e. in pun-form), he misread it completely, and blamed it on being "another British thing" he didn't understand. If that were a one-off thing, I'd mind a lot less, but he's been on a bit of a spree of being condescending to British English lately.

Like, okay, I appreciate he puts a lot of work into the graphics and research behind his LPs. But I can't help but feel put-out when he spent so much time looking into the lore of Japan, to better understand Ōkami, yet he doesn't feel it necessary to put the time in to understand English English expressions that somehow don't exist in USAland. It wouldn't be half as much work, and the way he brushes it off comes across-- unintentionally, I know, but still-- as incredibly insulting.
Enough of a majority for it to be an annoyingly accurate stereotype.

This applies to the English language, as well as games, by the way. I'm having a tough time letting go of the "ah-bergine" incident.
I'm aware of that. But, as with all things that are different in North America (as Chugga makes painfully obvious), everyone knows their localisations and the North American versions; North Americans know their localisations, and nobody else's.
Speaking of things my brain decided to do, did you see the versus-trailer I uploaded yesterday?
This, from the brain that brought you "I Be Arrl About That Bass" and "Attack of the Turdnerdlers 2: Electric Poogaloo".
It felt like more than three of them went that way, but that's probably because it was three in a row.

Mudkip is my top choice from Gen III. Treecko is only second by process of elimination, although Sceptile isn't half-bad to have. Come to think of it, that means I'll have a type-advantage over the antagonist teams in both games, purely by virtue of my personal tastes. Yay.
I wouldn't have done, either way. With the exceptions of Gens I and VI, I don't particularly care for the Fire-types.
All I know for certain, at the moment, is that I won't be having a Torchic of any kind, but that's fine, because Hirotada and Sergej both have Blaziken butlers of their own.
...Now that I think about it, I'm sure it goes without saying that my starters from OR and AS will most likely find their way into some canon or other of mine.
