If you go to Wales, everyone speaks English until they realise a non-Welsh-national English-speaker is in earshot, at which point, it's nothing but Welsh all the way. They're not too keen on outsiders.
If you go to Scotland, everyone is naturally drunk and/or belligerent. It's natural Scottish heritage. I should know. I'm 25% of one of them.
If you go to Northern Ireland, you'll most likely get blown to bits. The Northern Irish keep fighting amongst themselves over whether they like England and hate Ireland, or hate England and want to unify with Ireland.
If you go to London, you'll probably get stabbed and, if you're lucky, robbed as well.
If you go to Yorkshire, you'll be bombared by sickly accents and an outright failure to speak English to any comprehensible degree.
If you go to the Midlands...Well, I'll put it this way: ask anyone in the north of England, and they'll say the Midlands is part of the south. Ask anyone in the south, and they'll say it belongs to the north.
If you go to any of the major accent cities (Liverpool, Birmingham, Newcastle, et cetera)...No, just don't.
And anywhere else is pretty much a nowhere.
...Speaking from experience, of course. In summary, to avoid brutal ear-rape, gang violence, social rejection and general drunkenness, just steer clear of the UK.
INORITE? Europe is a scary place. I mean, in Switzerland, for example, dog meat-- as in, the meat of a dog-- is, the last time I checked, considered a delicacy. In Bulgaria, they nod when they mean 'no', and shake their heads when they mean 'yes'. In Hungary, they use the same naming order as they do in Japan (i.e. surname first, then first name). And apparently, there is very little level ground in San Marino. And then there's Estonia.
Scary thing: that 'song' was in an Estonian song contest, the winner of which would go on to represent Estonia at the most prestigious ESC (and, by extension, MSC). Scarier thing: in a field of ten songs, that placed third.
I know. Considering how much I earn, though, perhaps an upgrade to a more powerful laptop would be in order. It wouldn't be as if I can't afford it. Still, it'd be cheaper and easier to just record from console games. I am determined, now, to LP Ib, though. One way or another, I'm going to get the memory space I need to record efficiently. Also, I've already worked out why the screen-capture keeps squashing the video, so that's good.
You were warned. If you ever visit Europe, one of the countries to avoid is Estonia. They. Are. MAD.
Also, the verdict is, I have a few options. 1) get a new laptop just especially for LP'ing, 2) do live commentary with the same programme I use to record the video, 3) use a different programme to record the commentary, but still do it live, or 4) record post-commentary. Overall, I think I probably need a more powerful screen-capture programme, though. It keeps acting weird, losing frames hand over fist and, for some reason, recording Ib in full-screen then cramming it into the top-left corner of the screen on playback. It's nothing I can't resolve with a bit of time, though, I guess.
Apart from that, no ties to the Negas or that which makes them be?
:-| Just watch it. I'll do a quick camera/microphone check to see if my LP of Ib isn't viable. If all goes well, I might be able to have live commentary-- which I didn't think I would be able to record.
Also, random observation: is it just me, or do all female LPers on YouTube share the same VA, so to speak? Lucahjin, MistyDawn and AlanaPlays all sound exactly alike when they commentate.
