I have no doubt that it's good, but it doesn't sound like my sort of thing. But...that's how you imagine TEE, in your dreams? *insert scared Yao Ming face here*
What helps is that I can get from here to central London in the space of about half an hour, so if I were somehow able to procure some kind of meeting with a games company, chances are I'd be able to attend with relative ease.
Hm. I'd very much like to be able to get TEE into some kind of video media, somehow, at any rate, be it a videogame (preferably) or, at least, a TV series. Because some instalments translate better into games (the first trio, plus all subsequent TEE clones, and TWW), and others work much better as some kind of anime (MM, Miasma, LD). What could help is, since I'm a contractor for an electronics company, perhaps I could catch the eye of some kind of game company by way of my CV (or is it called a résumé in Canada? I honestly don't know). I mean, yes, it's Japan Aviation Electronics, but two of those three words have stuff to do with gaming, so that has to count for something, right?
I have not.
(True, but NMH, in all honesty, doesn't really appeal to me. I could just as easily watch an LP of it on YouTube, saving money in the process, and without having to actually play it. Who knows? Doing so may even change my opinon.)
Also, on the subject of a TEE videogame, remember how I entered an adaptation of TEE to the 'BAFTA Young Game Designers 2011' competition (wherein it placed 11th)? If I may point it out, the format of that was to have a hub town on each island, several side-scrolling levels per island, where one plays as Midnight, followed by a Zelda-style dungeon where one plays as Wes. Get the item, beat the boss, rinse and repeat. Such fun. It should have won.
ORLY? Kindly explain the latter's format, since I've only ever heard of it through you.
(Also, you just reminded me: I was in a branch of GAME™ the other day, and they had a 3-for-2 offer on, and, one behind the other on the shelf, they had the two No More Heroes games that you told me about, just begging to be bought together. I contemplated buying them...but then I didn't. I wonder if someone did.)
It was a remix of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells that was done especially for the Olympic Opening Ceremony. It was, if you saw the ceremony, the big-band/jazz/swing part that they used in their homage to the UK's NHS. And I happen to have that piece as an .m4a file on my computer, if you want me to send it to you.
*le justification*: I've imagined that, in each battle against Midnight throughout TEM, he'd have a different battle theme (since, being a Neptune-Rocket, he'd naturally be battled multiple times), and each would be of the same style of music. So far, I'd used, in my mind, the two stages of the Bowser Jr. boss fight from Mario Party 9 for his Gym Leader battle theme, and Bowser Jr. Minigame #4 for a subsequent battle. And Tubular Bells, already an iconic piece, suits the ultimate vs. Midnight battle perfectly, IMO.
HM I SEE. How are you able to remember all of that? Usually, when I dream, I forget most of it by the time I wake up...
Also, I happened upon a piece of music that I think would be appropriate for the 'vs. Red' battle against Midnight in NB. Would it be possible to use it?
