  • Still, as it's only been implied, so far, you could flat-out state something to the contrary (although it would make more sense to do that when introducing a future version of an existing character, rather than retconning the ones we've already seen).
In fact, as it is, even the fact that Leonel went out of his way to mention that Jeane had matured kind of throws up a flag that says, "Everyone's the same as before, apart from this one exception that you'll need forewarning about."
Again, not a criticism; just an observation.

Meanwhile, another random bit of headcanon whose accuracy I cannot speak for: my brain wants to believe that, following Inferno Midnight's death, he'd be cremated, and then his ashes would be turned into glass-- specifically, the Inferno-verse's version of the hourglass pendant Neptune Midnight had in TEE1.
It's been heavily implied thus far, and nobody disputed it when Megan pointed that out, as a basis for their disguises as their future selves.

Plus, Team Gemini haven't had any difficulty in identifying people they recognise (like, not even a moment's hesitation), so there can't be that much of a corporeal age difference between 100 years ago, and the future.
It still strikes me as oddly convenient that everyone else just so happens to have a preference for their bodies at the age they were 100 years ago, rather than when they, specifically, were at their physical peak, though. I would have thought that either all of the future-people would be the same age (in terms of body, rather than mind), or they would all be scattered randomly, with little-to-no correlation to the age gaps that were in place 100 years ago (since they might have died, and died again, at random times in the intervening time).
Meanwhile, two things from Leonel's description: so...does Jeane have Whitney-esque...features, now? Because that's the first place my brain went.

And is he referring to the events of Lockdown, or did he and Russell have another run-in since?
Suffice to say, I'm curious to see where this is all leading, and just how many answers they're willing to give when the FNAF series reaches its end.

...And how many changes and retcons we'd need to make (if any, at this stage) to Inferno-verse canon in that time.
If that's the case (and it is; I was just going on first impressions, before reading the Greenlight page), then my theory isn't completely implausible (although the zombie-rabbit-thing may well just be an old, decayed Bonnie-- but that doesn't mean it can't still be the purple guy's spirit possessing him, I suppose).

Still, that means that the canon I proposed for the first four restaurants, as far as the Inferno-verse goes, doesn't have to change, even slightly. At least, not unless FNAF3 does some kind of worldbuilding that would be retconning if our canon were canon, but, because it isn't, just fills in gaps in the actual canon that I'd filled previously with educated assumptions.

The only issues it would present would come in the form of Foxy's upgrade and ascension to Team Fruitcake, and the fates of the other Ayres Island animatronics (but we've established that there could easily have been more than one, what with Fazbear Entertainment being a franchise, and not a one-restaurant-at-a-time deal).
Indeed. One thing that stood out to me, though, was a drawing of Bonnie, dancing as if he's a puppet. It's probably nothing, though.

This does raise some questions, though-- as it's intended to, of course. I'm basing my assumptions, at the moment, on Game Theory's timeline: that this is a prequel to FNAF2, set in the first Freddy Fazbear's Restaurant-mabob (i.e. the first corporately-owned family-restaurant that follows Fredbear's Family Diner, but precedes the restaurant of FNAF2). I take the "he" the trailer refers to to be the killer, the purple man portrayed in the death-minigames in FNAF2. As for the zombie-rabbit-thing, and whether or not he has any connections to it, I don't know-- but the first deductive leap I'd take is, the animatronics exacting revenge on the killer, putting his spirit inside the zombie-rabbit-thing, then getting said zombie-rabbit-thing disposed of (in the same way as the way the Toys went in FNAF2, although deliberately, this time). However, that would imply that they got rid of the killer-- meaning they wouldn't have any reason to keep haunting thereafter. So I'm probably wrong about that.
Watched the anime, but this will have been more than ten years ago, if I recall correctly. But, some time in the last year-and-a-half, I did watch KoopaKungFu do a playthrough of one of the Hamtaro GBA games, so that jogged the memory somewhat.

Huh. For some reason, I imagined the age gap to be more or less the reverse of that. Or, at least, closer to the age-gap between myself and my siblings (for, sincerely, no reason other than I thought Franklin was older).
Ah. I thought he sounded vaguely familiar.

Incidentally, while I'm thinking about things, Franklin. So, this establishes that, as planned, he does settle in with Megan's family. How does that go, at first? Or is that whole backstory being saved for a later thing? Also, how old is he, compared to Megan, and compared to her parents?
(And, in all my headcanons so far, I've imagined him quickly becoming comfortable enough to refer to Jade and Midnight as "Mom" and "Dad" (as opposed to Megan's more formal "Mother" and "Father"), but I'm not the authority on his life, so I don't know how close to actual canon that would be.)
Is he borrowed from another series, or is he an OC? And has he been alluded to already, and I've forgotten, or what?
(Not going to lie, my first instinct is to ship him with Jade, as Megan's father's "replacement", if you will, because of which group they're assigned to.)
So, is this "Boss" individual someone I should have heard of?

(Also, Megan's specifically thinking of Carol, Blaze and Franklin-- whom I, also, cannot account for, from memory-- as well as the obvious, her own father. Is there anyone else I'm missing that she would be thinking of?)
(To such a degree, even, that she actually misreads one of the lines, but her delivery of it is so perfect that I'd rather change the line than have her re-do it.)
I must say, though, Jen's lines were very much worth the wait. Her delivery of even the most mundane ones (as mundane as a piece of hand-picked Tumblr stupidity can be, anyway) is utterly hilarious.
    Quite.

Also, I can finally start working on the next Tumblr Snack this week. I'm missing one of Yuki's lines, but, apart from that, I can actually make it a thing. At last.
