Then do what I did with Rusinka: put it on hold, and let's focus on the spin-offs. In the meantime, what I find helpful is getting a notebook, or something, and just writing/drawing my plans as I think of them, sort of flowchart-style. Related tip: start with bigger ideas in said flowchart, then go on to considering smaller events to link the bigger ones together. It's this method that helped me get from no ideas for MoL to 100% planned in a matter of about 15 minutes.
I don't see any problem with that. The only question is how to go about it. I'd suggest 'Paper Mario style', but the Triton side of series 2 is kind of like Paper Mario with respect to the new-chapter-new-world thing. I don't know; maybe something like SM64/Sunshine/Galaxy/Galaxy 2, which involves several smaller, tactical missions to retrieve stars or something?
Now, then, since we're beginning to draw to the final act of Rusinka (though there's still a bit to go, clearly), are you sufficiently prepared for PF?
I was willing to have it go either way- either get Daz out of the battle (be it by knocking him out or just dazing him temporarily), or provoke him into a bigger reaction.
And two other things, since I'm also noting all of this down: favoured types by each E4? And epic, epic, epic derp question: what's the name of the Ice-type Gym's town in Johto? I've completely forgotten.
Come to think of it, though, there's just one other Gym Leader I'd like to dispute. Rotor. Can he not be replaced by a character who actually has appeared in and has relevance to the series? I'm happy with Manic and Sonia, if only because of their appearance and cameo, respectively, in MM, but Rotor's kind of a Giant Space Gym Leader From Nowhere to me.
And another thing: is Silver going to make reference to his predecessor in the Saffron Gym and his current state of outlawedness? And what of Jamie, while I'm thinking about it?
(So Cal would be disgusted by his father's behaviour, and perhaps even reference it? And the case of Midnight...so he's managed to evade the police, but the player finds him just fine? Okay...)
So, yes, if you tell me the kind of thing each Leader (and so on) needs to say and when, I'll know what to work with. Meanwhile, as you've ignored: Locations that are 'impossible to recreate'? Like..?
(And why two different teams for Midnight? Does the player fight him twice- once pre- and once post-introduction of Gen V pokémon, or what?
