Re: Shiny Pokemon with the Pokeradar
Try chaining today's swarm first. Generally you are going to have the best luck with that. (Unless its something in a snowstorm or sandstorm)
Re: Shiny Pokemon with the Pokeradar
Hi everyone, long time no see. Not sure if anyone will remember me or not as I haven't been on since last July. I went to Toys-R-Us to pick up a Shaymin and it kinda got me interested in Pokemon again.
Tried chaining some Farfetch'd today but... its...
I evolved one with the items I found in game to help finish out my Pokedex. I ended up trading for another Upgrade and Dubious Disc so I could evolve another if I wanted. I still have to check all the natures and IVs of the ones I caught first.
I save every single time I get a shiny. The...
If I have to run through deep snow drifts in every other route... I'm going to strangle something. *innocent grin*
On a MUCH happier note, I am currently chaining Porygons. I've caught 16 shinnies so far! Been about 65,000 steps since I started and I got enough repels left to get me to...
Sounds like you've had quite the adventure. :) I'm been a little reluctant to hit Abras just for that very reason. At the moment I'm doing Corsola. Very easy to chain to 40, but not much luck with shinnies yet. Only been 7k steps so far so no biggie. :P
EDIT: Got three shinnies and then...
Well, I'm done with the Beldum chain. Ended up getting 5 shiny that second time around. That makes a total of 6 including that first lucky one I had. I broke the chain in the fashion that is me... doing something stupid. I forgot to use a repel! In retrospect I wonder how that was even...
Oddly enough, the only Pokemon I had with Magnet Pull is a shiny Magnemite I caught a few days ago. So I end up looking for shinies with a fainted shiny. :P
I'm pretty confident I can get the chain to 40 there now. I got it to 31 there last night and it broke. I broke due to randomness and...
Great job on the Elekids! Its an interesting idea, though I'm not sure if its accurate or not given the large random factor involved in chaining. Its worth looking into though. Whats the worst that can happen for trying it? You walk a little farther if you reset your DS.
Speaking of...
Its hardly useless and random but I still like my Garchomp with it. At level 67, it has the power to bring most Pokemon down to 1HP with a single swipe.
Anything with a strong Attack rating would be good since False Swipe as a power rating of 40 and is a physical based attack. Another good...
Well I do stock up on a lot. My point was just that if I break a long chain with nothing to show for it I just reset to get some of that money back so I don't have to worry about getting more later.
My main party consisted of a level 66 Garchomp who has False Swipe. Which makes a big...
It is definately the most unique song in the game. I just have heard it so much that its starting to get to me. Its worth it to see those shinies though!
What I meant was, if I got a high chain but got no shinies from it and it broke, then I would reset the DS. At the moment I'm on a chain...
Wow, really? Because the Pokeradar music makes me want to bang my head against a wall sometimes... though its not the music I dislike the most in the game. For the most part, I like the music.
You might have spoken on this earlier but I am new to the forums so forgive me but... what...
