Ah, just checking regarding the judging. It's honestly really fun to judge your own category, although judging Journey can be a little bit of a, um, journey, depending on what you get. I feel like the main reason I was so harsh on my scores was actually because I had hundreds of thousands of words to read each season, which made me so grumpy lol (although, of course, now I won't have to if I end up re-judging)
Haha, that time when your stories are too successful to judge. But are you even able to judge Journey, given the dominating presence that TLW has? (Although something should be said for judging categories that your story is strong in--it was pretty refreshing to watch Dark from the outside this time)
Gosh, you've got a diverse mix of backgrounds. Have you ever tried formally tracing ancestry? My grandfather did that fairly extensively, but I'm not sure if he ever finished before he died. Apparently he connected with some distantly-related people all over the nation.
I don't blame you. I sort of launched myself off my bike once while trying to get to class, but waved someone off when they came over to help. Vehicles, man. They're out to kill us!
I'd love to see the Atlantic from your side . . . aren't the waters a lot rougher and colder there?
Weiiiiird I was wondering why my reply didn't send through, and apparently it's because I'm stoopid haha. It appears you've taken the liberty of replacing me as that-guy-who-judges-everything, though. Does this mean we won't be seeing you judging next season?
Except in my parodial Nuzlocke, I wouldn't be making mistakes. I believe that's the underlying problem behind them: they're really based around two things - luck and mistakes. Got a bad roll with a critical at the wrong time? Got awful Pokemon? Didn't calculate whether your Pokemon could survive the hit? gg shitlord. You can't control the former, but you can control the latter! It'd basically be one big insultfest towards the 'challenge', starring a self-superior narrator who can back up what he says.
And speaking of that, part 2 of this thing is done. On that note, have been thinking about somehow fitting it into the writing forum, but I can't think of any narrative reasons to do some of the things I do in there. Same for a parodial Nuzlocke.
100 words is better than nothing! 100 words a day... actually sounds kind of productive.
Lol, might I suggest my other story instead? :C People say they're totally different in terms of style, development, etc. i don't want to make you miserable oh god
