Pfft, please organize my notes with your masterful skills. And yeah, it was a well placed scene. I can't say I see friendship scenes quite anywhere else.
Ah, all right. I was thinking more along the lines of wanting to add a themevor something you did not originally plan. Maybe it only happens to me. I like that you are careful about the order of friendship scenes though
Seems structurally sound to me. You ever feel like you're too tied down to what you wrote? I can't imagine it would be fun if you thought of something new that more or less ruined the plans you already wrote
Well, that's all right. I hope I helped a little for when you go back to it.
Yeahhh, I've fallen into that mindset unfortunately. I've tried transferring so I don't have to quit, but so far no one's answered to my request. So I guess sticking it out is best, as you said. I mean, I only have 2 months left to go, so
That's pretty odd. You might want to use other resources for when you can't go to your tutor. I know someone who is teaching himself French and I could ask him what he uses if you want. Not sure if he has reached imperfect or not.
It is. My parents would have an absolute fit if I quit, even if I am practically making nothing. Though I might just do it anyway.
Fair enough. It's my fault I write pokemon centric fics anyway, so essentially I doomed myself to clutter
Books just like to throw technical jargon in your face rather than show specific examples. (At least, I never used my books.) Anyway, the nice thing about imperfect tense is that no matter what English equivalent you have (was/had/would/etc), it's all conjugated the same in French.
Yep... I only decided to work at Subway because the manager who hired me was very nice and understanding. He even wrote me letters of recommendation for school, but then he left and ever since then... Well, I went into that already.
That's actually one of my favorite things to do. Keeping track of characters, that is.
I tended to think of it in terms of passive and active voice, which was helpful since it was something I'd been told on to work on in my writing at the time. Imperfect = passive, past = active. "He went... He shopped... He said... He wanted..." all past tense, active writing. Imperfect/passive voice comes when you add anything such as "He was going... He used to shop... He had said... He would have wanted..." etc. If that makes sense?
Yep. Everyone plays games. One manager calls people in so he can end his shift early, one worker swears like no tomorrow about customers, another workers is always on her phone and has been yelled at consistently by general managers, and the rest of us get 5 hours a week.
In a fic that focuses on humans, yeah, it's not easy. I tend to use the "trainers let all their pokemon out at all times" excuse but I know some authors don't care for it.
I just did a quick refresher of past/imperfect tense on Google and... yeah, that's a lot to remember. I feel like your class is moving at a fast pace if you're already doing imperfect tense.
Agreed. The last manager we had always made me do night shifts with his roommate, and then would yell at me the next day for not picking up his roommate's slack. Since then I've been cut down to 5 hours a week because his authority has declared that "I don't deserve hours". Uh huh...
To me, Bulbasaur and Screwball fight for the spotlight. Screwball is amusing and has more screentime, but Bulbasaur provides actual conflict and is reliable when he does show up.
Oh I thought we were talking about writing xD well if it comes to work then at least I've got some time to rest myself now which is always a good thing.
That's just gonna make me ask why even more.
Me neither! I'm trying to get used to the controls of the 3DS xD jumping remains to be my biggest flaw.
How many years have you been studying French so far?
Subway isn't a bad job, no. I just have bad managers and unreliable co-workers, which makes things miserable. So I'd kind of be picky about that, but that might just be me.
Yes, I like Bulbasaur in TLW. Not as much as Josh/Eve, but he's up there. I think the opening of TLW with his philosophical ponderings sold it for me, and from then I had high hopes for him.
