I guess "intimate" to some can sound sexual. I do think they have a pretty strong relationship, though it doesn't come without its reservations (ie Eve being a little reluctant asking about the tournament). And that's also cute. The best parts of stories, in my opinion, come from coincidence and accidents. (At least, from a writer's perspective. Readers probably don't notice that stuff as much.)
It is probably just the mix of genuity (since he actually got help) and sarcasm (since I doubt he would actually be grateful to Tyler of all people) packed into a mannerism that usually is only one or the other. Or maybe my sense of humor sucks
So one review down, another four to go I'll keep reading once I have finished the next 8ES chapter - going to try and get onto the once a fortnight update system I have wanted for ages
It's less feasible in today's world for "modern transportation" simply due to the sheer efficiency of the international air travel system (fast + huge in-flight capacity), but I guess the niche nature of zeppelins is still going strong. I'd still love to take a ride on one. Ironically, everyone in my family has flown on a Boeing 747 before, except the one person who's in aerospace engineering. I really ought to borrow someone's manual and at least get the clutch work down. After all, I intend to buy a very fancy sports car!
Well, that's weird . . . I suppose if you'd wanted to return the favor, the kids' names would have been an easy target. Well, whenever I'm going into buildings on campus I hold the door open for people coming behind me (no matter the gender/age/etc), and the worst people are not merely the thankless ones, but the ones who are completely expectant of it. No thanks, honey, I'm just not good enough to politely keep this door open for you.
