Well, you did tell a lot of things before. It's hard to say what I would like to know more about so far anyway since you can't see what I complied. If you like I can show you what I have so far, and you can possibly fill in the blanks.
Are you free at the moment? If you are, do you think you have more to say about the fan opinions for BW before it aired (Speculations)? Things I would like to know more are speculations on Brock and other DP characters. This is because I am currently working on the BW Preview article.
(By the way, just to let you know, the Iris Insanity threads will definitely be linked. I am surprised at how flexible Iris is as a shadow)
Mainland has several dubs that didn't last long, and is pretty much the same as the Taiwanese dub. The latest dub was that of DP. Despite DP being completely dubbed into Mandarin in Taiwan, they had to redub it for several reasons. First is that mainland had renamed "Pokémon" (Yes, it has 3 official names). Second is that they had to correct some errors. Third is that the style of the Taiwanese dub wouldn't suit to the taste of the mainlanders, due to regional differences in accents. The Taiwanese dub has a tendency to use of colloquial words, so they also corrected the grammar to standard Mandarin.
There are no offcial Chinese games, but the manga would also be using the mistranslated moves. There are some memorable ones such as Overhit (Overheat), Single Beam (Signal Beam), Megaphone (Megahorn), and Frenzy Machine (Frenzy Plant). Let's just say the lack of official games and proliferation of bootlegs in the mainland has caused the fan names to be more popular than the official ones.
