  • Noah: Yeah, we all know Cyrus is The Chick in this Five Six Man Band. 'w'

Iris: Probably, since you need to have some sort of connection to the spirit world in order to enter. If we have to resort to this, we'll call it even.
Cyrus: I'm probably going to be part of this.

Yukari: That's one way to make yourself useful. 'w'

[[/kiyoi] Cool! Can I see Hell? :D *looks into Cyrus' stomach-mouth*
    [/cyrus] ?! YOU! GTFO! D8<
[/vitya] NO *weeps that Kiyoi wasn't sucked in*]
    [I meant 48 hours.]

Iris: During that period, someone can actually enter that spirit realm and retrieve the soul of the person that died because of their curse.
[I'm going to leave a bit to o watch some fireworks. I'll be right back.]

Iris: When someone's fatally cursed, their soul gets sent to a sort of spirit world shortly after their death. After said person has "died", they remain here for a period of, oh, 48 hours or so before true death.
    Yukari: What's that?

[The fatal curse-thing is similar to what basilisks do when killed. If a Knight In Shining Armor kills one with, say, a spear or sword while riding on his Noble Steed, the basilisk's venom will rise up the weapon and kill both horse AND rider.]
[That's usually one piece of the puzzle.]

Iris: ... Oh, wait. There IS one thing I've heard about, but it might be risky.
[Is there anything universal about alleviation of demonic good-bye presents? Like... holy water, for instance?]

Cyrus: That, or do all of the above, but with a third party.
Iris: By the time all that was done, Tichondrius would've sealed off our way to get to him. Furthermore, it's impossible to know exactly what curse you're going to get slapped on you ahead of time. We could've prepared for one, but gotten another.
Yukari: "I didn't want anyone to worry about me." Seriously.

Cyrus: Yeah, but if you told everyone else, they could've gotten ready for the impending curse and prepared acoordingly with everything you'll need.

[You do realize that Peter is going to get blamed for not telling anybody about this since he knew about it before everyone else.]
Iris: I didn't want you guys worrying about it. We HAD to get that thing out of Cyrus, and I ws going to end up cursed no matter what. And while it's probably reversable, it's probably going to take so long to get what we need that by the time we're ready to get rid of it, it'll probably be too late.
Peter: When exorcists dispatch demons, the demons leave a going-away present in the form of a curse. The pain's just the start.
[By the way, Annaka calls Iris her sister, since they're adoptive sisters. Iris is older.]

Annaka: Sis, I can tell you're lying.

Iris: ... Okay, fine. I'm exhausted. I haven't drank any blood in awhile. I'm in horrible, indescribable pain. Is that a good assessment for ya?

Noah: *checks her over* You don't look that injured...
    Cyrus: She fainted earlier.

Peter: Yeah. We'll need to have you checked out.

Yukari: So... the demon left something behind.
[Do Peter and Yukari have anything to say?]

Iris: That demon's gone for good tis time.

[Peter would know that demons leave a curse on the person who exorcises them. The more powerful the demon, the more horrific the curse. This is common knowledge among witches, as they themselves end up leaving a curse on the person that kills them and on anyone that does them or their families wrong aftter their death.]
