It's a Russian guy who only did Russian films before he started working with Ayer. I haven't seen other films he did so I can't judge if he is a great cinematographer, but in any case, he did an AMAZING job here.
Not just cinematography. I mean the details. Like the dirt on the soldier's faces, the muddy roads, the things on the tank, EVERYTHING! And yes, the cinematography is AMAZING! Beautifully shot. The cinematographer seems to be Ayer's standard one, since he did End of Watch and Suicide Squad too.
The ONLY problem I have with Fury is a major one, it's a scene in the middle of the film that brings it to a screeching halt. It goes on for about half an hour and you just want the film to go back to the battlefield and tank fights that scene is just SOOO BORING! Which is probably why I gave it an A- last time. But the fight and war scenes made a bigger impact on me now, as did the comradery, so yeah an A.
Oh I don't remember. But IMO it deserves an A. It's the MOST REALISTIC war-film since Saving Private Ryan and definitely one of the better war films. Biggest surprise of the film.... SHIA LABEOUF IS ACTUALLY GOOD!!! O_____________________O
GEEZ. Saw Fury again, but now with my dad. STILL as powerful as the first time, still an A. GODDAMN, David Ayer has SOOO MUCH GODDAMN TALENT!!! But he should NOT WASTE IT ON *UCKING DC!!!!
