  • Yeah, they are, but worth it. With the right moves, they can take down any pokemon in Gen 1, or even if they don't have a Super Effective Attack, their Attack stat is high enough that just a normal move would be enough to do the job. Plus, because this is Gen 1, I can spam Earthquake on Gengar with Tauros ;-) ah, good times, good times.
Insane attack, can learn a crapload of really powerful TMs, and also wins points in the coolness category. XD
Eh, after the E4, there's really not much to do in Yellow, and having him kinda sucks all the fun out of it. I just mentioned him for the uber-powerful being that he is. Of course, this is Gen 1: Tauros, Draognite, Alakazam, Gengar, Mew, and Mewtwo are the undisputed gods among pokemon here.
I'm pretty sure you can go to some of the other villages to battle some of the little monsters, if you can find them. Or maybe you can still battle at Glitzville, if they'll still take you (just trying to think of ideas)
Wow, that's alot of HP (not that that's a bad thing). I just think FP is very helpful though, so that's why I power that up a lot. It's already at 35 on my new file
I can't remember, but I think around 60 something. I mostly power up Flower Power, cause I use those moves so often. (I barely power up badge level)
Though I suppose I could always go Pikachu Charizard Blastoise Venusaur Articuno Dragonite. XD ha, yeah, it is kinda funny. Especially since there are so many that I don't usually use.
Yeah, but I haven't used Venusaur very much, either - and an Electric type would be nice if I don't keep Pikachu in. Maybe I could ditch Dodrio and have Zapdos fill the flyer role too, but I kinda want a Dodrio as well. :-( what a mess.
Thanks. So...hm, that would be Pidgeot (still like it more than Fearow, though I'll probably replace it with Dodrio when I get the chance), Nidoking, Gyarados, Clefable, and two others who I haven't decided on yet. Probably Charizard and Venusaur, or Articuno and Zapdos. Or any combination. :)
A fellow islander? I am from Trinidad. Tell me how hard is it to get to trade with other people in Pokemon diamond and pearl? For me it is really hard as I have no friends here who play or even have a DS.
I dunno. It's my Yellow cartridge, so it's not like I'd ever use the thing competitively, but I want to go through the game with something other than my tried-and-true Pikachu+Pidgeot+whatever else will get me through the next gym/E4 member. Gyarados, happily, actually falls under that list (I usually never even bother with Magikarp in favor of the free Squirtle I get in Vermillion City). I think I'll stick with Nidoking/queen (probably -king) this time around, too.
