  • :) don't worry -- it's just a lot of technical stuff. Besides, even if you do choose your schedule like that, there's a good chance you'll at least be fulfilling breadth requirements. Heck, there was a class I could have taken this next quarter on Human Reproductive and Sexual Behavior -- and it would have counted as my biological science!
This quarter, I'm in 4 courses, and I've scheduled 4 for my next quarter, too. The number of required courses really depends on your major: you'll have a set of breadth requirements, which are pretty general -- so many units of a physical science, so many of Ethnic Studies, and so on -- and they are for the specific college you're in (for example, I'm in the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences within UCR, and we have a different set of breadth requirements than the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, though we're both in the same university). Each major will also have specific classes that you need to take to fulfill its requirements. Usually, I've found a workable schedule is to take 1 major requirement class, 1 pain-in-the-ass breadth requirement, and 1 or 2 other classes that you think you'll enjoy taking in a quarter (or whatever system the college you eventually go to is on).
Yeah but it was kinda weird Jessie just loses Dustox and then she quickly catches a Yanma and uses that now instead. Talk about no grief or sorrow. Like when James lost Chimecho.
A piece of advice, then -- when you get to college, NEVER schedule yourself more than 4 classes. 3 would probably actually be ideal, but it depends on how much you think you can handle. That's the good thing about college -- you aren't forced to take on more classes unless you want to. Of course, that comes with the downside that if you don't do well in a class, well, it's your own damn fault, 9 times out of 10 you didn't have to take the class. But it's a good deal, overall.
Ah, don't be. A lot of this is my own fault for being lazy beforehand. Honestly, once you get used to it, college really isn't that bad. Just make sure you stay on top of everything and don't overbook yourself, and you'll be fine. :-D
Yeah...high school's got nothing on this. :) thanks for the support, though. And honestly, I'm probably making this all sound a lot worse than it actually is, so don't read too much into it.
Too much stress + too little sleep. I had even gone to bed early that night, too. But yeah...this stuff needs to get done, so what can I really do? I'm running on 3 cans of Pepsi right now, and I have to leave for class in about half an hour. :-(
