That is probably a wise decision on your part.

Yeah, Mad Men is really good at weaving the historical events of the decade in with the characters' storylines. I thought they did a particularly good job of that with the most recent season - which was set in 1968, so that had a lot to cover - but I don't want to spoil anything, so you'll have to see that when you get there. I'm kind of obsessed with the 1960s myself, so that's obviously a big part of why I love the show so much.
