  • Yes, certainly it would :)

I tried to look into some of the Dreamworld Pokemon that I got from these forums, and got a reply back from Blitzle. Blitzle obtained the Slowpoke from Nellak here on the forums. Not sure who Nellak got it from though. :)

Are you interested in any of those that I offered? The people that I obtained the original DW 'mon from seem like very trustworthy traders to me. Let me know if you'd like to trade. :3
i don't know. school and baseball have taken over my life! ahhhh! atm, I'm ev training a beldum. Wassup with you? And..... do you wanna become affiliates?
I actually find a lot of poems about a lot of things. I just like poems that adress a lot of things.
cuz a lot of the neighbors brought them up as suspicious, which was odd cuz we thought so too. (we don't get lawnmower ppl here)

oh i know D: i had to replay it like 2-3 times :S

my mom couldn't afford to send both me and my lil bro to school anymore, but why she didn't just let me finish my last 6 months pisses me off and is beyond me :/ now i'm in school limbo.

    kinda Cx

    oh i agree <3

Haha, do you really wear that? If no, would you really wear that?
You know, the Water types could teach you to swim (really, it's not that hard). And they could also save you if you happen to be drowning. That's a bit of a poor excuse for not choosing Water types. Just saying.

I really want to rant hard about your decision to use "smart", but I'll save you the sanity and STFU. That, in itself, was a rant ._.

Lol, you're lazy and don't want to bother yourself with more difficult to train Pokemanz? :p harhar.
You know, you could be familiar with other types, if you tried.
    ----------
    Yes, I would wear that.

I have a friend who loves using water types and has the personality of a water type player. I tend to leave him in his bubble by not messing with his "profession". I know my reasoning is thin, but it's actually never bothered me that I didn't go for water types. This is not true for any other type, but I'm actually very confident in not raising any water types.

I understand that "smart" is pretty superficial, but as I said, it was the best I could make do with. That aside, I wouldn't also mind going for beauty or cool. I do like beautiful and cool things :)

    ----------
Who the hell takes a picture this seriously? Wtf?
    ----------
People who go to art galleries.
    ----------
So if Pokemon were real (what, it's not real now?!), you'd be using Grass? You sadistic bastard. You want to watch your opponent slowly suffer an agonizing defeat. Instead of ending it quickly, you relish the extended suffering.
    ----------
No. not really. Like I said, I don't only subseed.

    ----------
You know, just because the contest type says "smart", it doesn't necessarily mean that the Pokemon values that... category? So, its moves are categorized like that, but what if the Pokemon is completely different? But I see what you mean. You're basically going with what you're given, rather than making up your own... ah, I don't know the word for it. But I'm sure you understand.
Lol, I've noticed. I've definitely noticed. You don't even have to tell me that. I would've been able to guess that myself :p

I would think though, that each individual Pokemon values something different, and their values don't necessarily have anything to do with their typing. I imagine their values are as varied as IV sets. Two Meganium, for example, may value polar opposites. I'm just saying. Again, I understand you're just running with what you're given. It's understandable. Why make it a bigger headache? There's too many unknowns as it is.
    ----------
I get what you're saying and I agree with you and so I'll rescind the statement I made earlier about Pokemon valuing these types of moves.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm trying to express myself through my Pokemon. I don't consider myself cute, tough, cool, beautiful, or even smart, but I believe smart is the closest that I have out of the five. If "pensive" was a category, I would choose that immediately over anything else. Thus, in having Pokemon that have moves that are smart, I'm expressing what I value, not necessarily what they value.
    ----------
Haha, but seriously, by "control", do you mean yourself or your opponent?
    ----------
Hmm, how do I best describe control...

    Here's an analogy:

Consider a mad river that flows with a powerful force and, after a storm, this force is amplified now with enough strength to wipe out a nearby village. The people of the nearby village can build a dam and try to use brute force--a stubborn wall--to block the oncoming onslaught. This would be brute force vs. brute force. But take it for granted that the river will be victorious and take out any wall, no matter how stubborn it is, that stands in its way.

The other alternative to addressing this issue then is to not fight against the water, but accept that it is a force that cannot be stopped. However, what kind of force is it does not have to be a powerful one. Rather than trying to build a wall and pray that it works, the people of the village instead chose to control the flow of the water. That is, rather than build a dam, they built trenches that guided the flow of the water and diluted the strength of the river by creating a delta. When the torrential force came, it was then weakened into a controllable state and what power it poured out then was manipulated by a mill to produce energy for the villagers.

This is essentially "control"--you don't necessary confront the full force of the enemy directly, but curb your enemy's power so that you could defeat that power indirectly and at a better advantage.

    ----------
I think you're a little bit assertive, though. Not too much, since you're mainly mellow. You're a mix of things. Everyone is a mix of things, but some people more than others.
You're the kind of assertive that feels it, thinks it, but doesn't necessarily say it. But then, you could argue, does that really make it assertiveness at all?
Lol, what is this I don't even.
    ----------
I don't understand what you said there...
    ----------
    You use Audino? o_O Why?
But like this, all you'll have to level up will be Pokemon trainer battles. That's not going to be enough :T Level grinding is a necessary part of Pokemanz.
But what will you get out of this? What are you trying to accomplish? What's the point?
    ----------
Like I said, I make do with whatever I have in the game and Audino is not too shabby at all from what the game provides. Furthermore, I believe battling only trainers and not wild pokemon is not possible in the game. Sooner or later, a wild pokemon will not let me flee from battle and I'll have to fight it. However, for the most part, I will just be fleeing. I'd imagine that it's not that bad now that the creators have changed the way experience is distributed. By eyeballing the statistical graph, it looks like I'll approach the same limit of level L after x trainer battles or so, i.e. lim f(x) = L = lim g(x) where f(x) is the function that represents all battles with trainers and g(x) represents all battles with trainers and wild pokemon, and the limit would be approaching to the completion of the story mode.

I'm doing this, by the way, for the sake of the story. For example, based on the personalities of the starters, it looks like that I should have chosen the water type as my starter as Cheren definitely acts like Snivy while Bianca is more like tepig. In the same vein, if I am to rival N and challenge his view on Pokemon, I may as well give him fewer words to be true about by not harming any "innocent wild Pokemon" that he so worries about.
    ----------
Ah, okay. I understand now. So playing defensively is like solving a puzzle (for you). You like puzzles, right? And you gain immense satisfaction at solving said puzzle. And the best part is, there's never two similar puzzles. They're always unique. Lucky you, huh?

By the way, you should be careful of Toxicing a Pokemon that has Guts. Obviously, you wouldn't do this on purpose, but say your opponent made a smart switch and your Toxic hit a Breloom, for example. You're in for hell then.
    ----------
I'm still trying to understand my strengths and weaknesses here with my grass team. I haven't played against guts, but I'll take your word for it that things could get ugly pretty fast. I've learned to watch out for synchronize in a previous match among other things.
    ----------
What's wrong with "I have better Pokemon than you"? So? OHKO moves are banned, and if your opponent happens to be OHKOing you, it means either a few things:
    1) Your EV spread/IVs isn't/aren't good.
    2) It was a bad match-up.
    3) Hax.
    4) Your opponents Pokemon has a higher BS, and is generally better.

I also hate those nothing-happens-forever matches. If a match drags on for too long, I may simply forfeit. Lol, who battles competitively with an Audino? :p Or an Amoongus for that matter.
    ----------
First of all, when I said OHKO moves, I didn't mean moves like fissure or anything like that. I meant moves that take out any Pokemon in one hit. For example, outrage on a Garchomp, even though the move itself doesn't say "OHKO", is essentially a move that kills in one hit.

Second of all, I didn't say that I had any problems with "I have Pokemon better than you" but rather the idea of a match solely based on one player winning without any skill. It's like this: you watch a fight with a guy who's Superman and the other guy who's regular old Joe. No contest and sure as hell boring to watch. If it were anything, I'd pay more money to watch Bizzaro fight against Superman, or Batman vs. Superman, or Joe vs. Joe. A player having "Pokemon better than yours" essentially promotes these kinds of match-ups where watching these battles tends to become pretty dry. I don't like that. Especially in story mode, when battling against all the trainers you meet, you start feeling like you're doing a chore than actually battling when you're just OHKO-ing Pokemon 10 levels below yours like dust on the wind.

Thirdly, please understand that at that time, I hadn't finished the story mode and so I had to make do with whatever Pokemon I was provided. Also, do not underestimate the mushroom.

I highly dislike facing Ferrothorn =w=
    ----------
    Yes, Ferrothorn trolls on Outrage.
Okay, so I'm gonna try and address all of your questions and points. Sorry for the delayed response. Hell on earth happened here.

    ----------
15 minutes? Really? oO I've never had a competitive battle last that long. Not even when I got in a stall war with a Gligar vs my Togekiss. Both of us kept on Roosting XD I don't think my battle with you will last that long. Maybe 10 minutes max. Remember, on PO things move a lot more quickly. It's not like wifi battles.

Only one for Subseed? That's almost as bad as having one Trick Roomer on a Trick Room team. I say that since your team is a Grass team. It would be different if it wasn't a Grass themed team, but it is. But hey, all the better for me ;)
    ----------
Understand that when I say "15 minutes", that usually means 15 minutes including idle chit-chat here and there, lol. Me and my friends tend to lose focus in the middle of the game and make odd commentary.

Also, there's more to grass types than just subseeding :/
Hi there! I also got a female Dreamworld Slowpoke from Blitzle tonight, and I've just hatched another female from her now if you're interested in that one. I think Blitzle got them from trading through the forums as well so they should be legit. (thread here: http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/showthread.php?t=104316 ) Feel free to check up on them any way you can, and if you're interested I have the females ready for you :)
    Thanks!
