  • Oh, and if you thought that I was crazy for running all grass types in the campaign mode, wait until the next version comes out. If they keep or improve the way the game currently hands out experience in gen V, I'm going to try and play the campaign mode without trying to harm any wild Pokemon all the while using only a single main type for my party.
I should also add an addendum here and say that I don't exclusively just "stall" games. Since I'm putting my specialty in grass, I intend to exploit the full capabilities that grass type have to offer to me. Expect then for me to not only be running Pokemon that can subseed but also Pokemon that would be able to do something like Leaf Storm/Contrary (as soon as the dreamworld comes out).

By the way, speaking of the dreamworld, have you heard about the eevee evolutions being made available in the dreamworld? I'm getting a Leafeon for mine--I have him saved into my account already. ^_^

Also, thanks for the PO link. I'll make sure to download it onto my PC (I'm using my Mac atm).

And yes, that Moth is real.

And maybe, I'll battle against your normal types as long as none of them have sap supper as their ability (My bane--worst than fire types ;_;)
The reason why I like to play control (stall) is not necessarily because it is easy. I've tried both styles of battling and find that playing stall is more fun and that I have a natural preference to go for that style. For some reason, I'm not as good of an offensive player as I am defensively (with the exception of Chess--I suck at playing Black but am more familiar with White). Second of all, I like the reverse thinking that is required in going on defense. Since Pokemon is presented as a game based on winning by attacking, trying to win unconventionally by defending has been rewarding challenge. This is also the very reason why I chose to run the campaign mode in Black using only grass types. I'm not afraid at facing against type disadvantages and take it in stride when it comes to obstacles such as those. Problems like these test my limits in what I know about defensive play and I enjoy putting my knowledge to the test while learning from my weaknesses.
Also I don't think that stalling is any less difficult than head-on battling. The way that Pokemon presents itself is a linear game and so the most streamlined tactic is head on battling. It's easy in a sense, but also difficult as one would have to make the most optimal predictions in maximizing damage output, which isn't something that should be overlooked. I've played several other strategy games like this and I kind of understand how hard it is for the offensive players to win their matches--lots of thinking, no kidding.
"Favorite" for me is still in the works. I'm still figuring out what really is my favorite type. Right now, for the past 3 iterations of Pokemon, I've been using grass as my starter and, over the years, have found myself getting a good grip on the concept of using various grass types. I'm pretty good now, in a sense, at various forms of grass control (what you may call stall) and grass aggro. In general, I like grass but I'm sort of picky about choosing something as my "favorite" as I want to have full confidence in believing that something is my favorite.

Grass is still my favorite, and I'm holding onto it for a while as I like the design for many of the grass types, how their moves work, and how most of their moves are categorized as "smart" in contests.
that is impressive. you're quite verbose. Got a lot to say.
