  • It probably does. I can only assume that it's something to do with Japanese myopia when it comes down to the rest of the world
Well, yes, gone are the days when I'd finish a game in a couple of days xD I think they're a bit too expensive to do that with now
Yep, that needs to be majorly rewritten. I have begun rewriting but I am also trying to move things along as well.
    - All hell is breaking loose, and the most important thing on their minds besides each other is Claudia's cold? Framing of that was unusual.
    - Full Synchro? We Megaman Battle Network, now! Again!
    - The end of that scene was a bit confusing, since it seemed like Kevin gave the order to drug people.
    - Neat - yet somehow familiar!! - role Rafael is playing in all this. Was there even any hint of it?
    - Speaking of which, I'm a little sad we didn't do that crossover. Fritz would be hilarious in this. Not as hilarious as he could be due to lacking certain Pokemon, but regardless!!
    - So what, this is more or less a zombie apocalypse, except with Pokerus?
There are different theories. Bettie fills his with, for lack of a better word, fluff and character interaction. Ace fills his with things blowing up and bad guys. Mine is pointless melodrama and world-building so far, but who knows where it could go if I choose to go the (I genuinely forget whose term this is) shitty love triangle route.
I am glad someone can understand my pain :p I am hoping that the eventual rewrites will be enough to grab people's attention and draw some of the 8ES and DoD fans into it.
I figure it's ~20 chapters to the second badge, so ten badges a chapter. Most journey fics have about equidistant times to badges, with another two added on for the finale and the major villain battle. So TLW is probably looking at around 100 chapters in length. 8ES will be a bit longer than that since it's ~70 chapters in with five badges down. So probably up to 130-150 by my calculations. I have an approximate number for Vaira and it's somewhere between those two extremes.
Ugh, fine I guess. Still can't quite believe there's still the best part of two months left of winter >_< Your folks back yet?
I think 50 chapters is a pretty well-established minimum for a journey fic. The ones that finish usually range from 50 to 120 chapters, anyway. The Long Walk, 8ES, and Vaira would probably be at the high end of that range. Unpredictable will be almost exactly 50.
You know if you keep saying things like that people in the Workshop will never let you forget it xD
