Yeah, he is quite self centred and arrogant. In particular, everything that Giovanni says to him is completely true - he would have joined Team Rocket on Nugget Bridge if he hadn't thought that they were below him.
I do feel great about Rival's Story, I was particularly happy with the response that the 99th chapter got. I know I asked people to reply, but it was nice to see that so many people are reading - including quite a few big names around the Workshop. Obviously you're included in that but I knew you read it anyway =P
And in response to what you said in the thread, you're right, Red is more of a hero, but Giovanni engineered that speech to try and get Blue to do what he wants. He personally prefers Blue because he can see himself in him but not because he thinks Blue is more heroic.
