Isn't the advanceverse yours? If you mean the Travelsverse, easily bored and depressive, but when entertained he's quite cheery. He's also attracted to the slightly older Candice (she's older here, even though she doesn't look it).
Yeah, I could also imagine flying and being strong enough to take a bullet to the eye. But I'm not Superman. Besides, it just looked like the animators decided to make the cheapest effect possible for the move.

I'd probably understand if the damn thing made an illusion, but I still don't like the animé's version of a majority of the moves.
