  • That may be the case but I'm nevertheless getting a fairly decent response to my fanfic.
Would you be interested in a review exchange? I consider myself reasonably reliable.
I know, but the problem is, I'm having massive difficulties trying to figure out who's in which group and where everyone is, and because of that, I'm kind of scared to post out of fear that I'll screw something up. Might you be able to clear that up?
I would also recommend that you get yourself a decent video player. VLC Player handles most file formats excellently, though Splash Lite is an awesome HD player with colour enhancement. It doesn't support as many formats though, and has more issues with subtitles, but is better when it plays the files without problem. Also, to avoid any and all issues, also download the K-Lite Codec Pack, it has a bunch of codecs allowing your media players to play even more files and encryptions without any bugs. You just install it and leave it there, simple as that, there's nothing you need to do after installing (save for updating now and then it if you so feel inclined to).

With all that, you're truly ready to go. While it seems daunting at first, the results are astounding, especially in terms of the video resolution (video streaming pages VERY often have sucky resolutions due to size limitations and the fact that loading times, and thus server load, would be extremely high.
To check that it now proceeds as expected, click the "downloads" tab in the menu to the left; this lists all files currently being downloaded. It's "status" says if it's downloading, you can see the download speed and everything. It usually starts after a small amount of time, so don't get nervous if it hasn't started downloading just yet. If it does take a lot of time without starting, double-check that it's not paused or stopped. Do this by clicking on the download, and press the "play" button in the top menu (if its' grayed out, it's already downloading). If it's still not downloading, try getting another .torrent file.
ITs' all very simple once you get the hang of it, and you can download several files at once, assign priorities, and so on.

Once a .torrent is completely downloaded, locate the uTorrent download folder, and in here you will now find your downloaded file(s) ready to be enjoyed without loading times, crappy internet quality and the sort.
Now, take the first torrent file that seems to have what you're looking for. This will typically bring you to a page where it describes the contents of the torrent; thus you can often verify that it's your desired download. Also double-check to see that the total file size is not less than what is to be expected (minimum 100-150 MB per episode for older series, maybe some more for newer ones. Those with double sound/Bluray quality can often rise to 700MB-1GB per episode).
Now download the .torrent file like you would any other file. When downloaded, uTorrent may open it automatically if you have set it to do so. if not, open the .torrent file; installing uTorrent should automatically have set it so that your system recognizes it and opens uTorrent when you open it. If not, then it will prompt you to find a compatible program. Choose to browse for it, and located the utorrent.exe in the folder you installed uTorrent in.
When opened, you'll get a small window which lists all the files in the .torrent, allowing you to uncheck any you do not wish to download. Unless you know specifically that there's something you don't want, download it all.
The foreshadowing thing like that very often fails, Bleach is far from alone. It's common to foreshadow using known, or slightly known characters, only to have them be so much less than they were foreshadowed to be.

Yeah, for me an anime needs to also have a good start to be considered good, but many keep surprising you with excellence till the very end, even if the start was bad. It depends. To put it this way, if you start a football match very poorly and concede 7 goals, you'll still lose even if you score 6 goals later on.

Okay, so you've installed it, right? Now, here's the trick. You have to download a Torrent file. For this, go to a good torrent site. I recommend isohunt.com. Search on isohunt for whatever you're looking for (say, the name of an anime). Now, you have to sort it by seeders (the red circle in the picture). This will rank the search by the amount of seeders. A seeder is a person who is sharing this file (uploading). The L next to it stands for "leecher"; a person who is downloading the file as well as uploading. Generally you want a lot of leechers and seeders, with priority on the latter. This means there's more people to download from, and thus the download goes faster (though this may vary; if a single seeder has a very big upload connection, several people can download from him at a very fast rate, and vice versa).
Hmm, okay. Did you find out how to work with uTorrent? It should be rather simple, but if you need help, I can give a hand ;)
Yes, in a way he does so, and that's admirable. But anyone can take what's already existing and tie it in with something new they bring into the story - it's rarely actually planned out to be as brilliant as it seems to be :p But the itnent doesn't matter so long as the result is enjoyable! And the deal is, there's many loose threads that's only slightly relevant. But yes, I am very curiouis to find out how it all ties in. Where's Isshin in all this? Ishida's father must have some relevancy and screentime in this arc. And so forth. But he's let us down earlier in the series by taking easy routes or skipping something seemingly important, so while reading and staying excited, I'm not getting my hairs in a bundle.

Well, most anime tend to not start things well, so I try not to judge form a single episode alone. But with so many anime to watch, I have to be a bit selective, not to mention that having seen so many, some trends are easy to spot even in the first episode.

I'm not particularly selective as far as genres and age goes, I go for intrinsic quality, which is something that is both timeless and ignores the borders of genres. I'll check it out, though ;)
