To Love Ru Darkness doesn't hesitate to show us the boobies and stuff, but there's no actual sex going on.
Yuki Rito is just a normal teenager, except he's ignorant to absolutely everything it seems. By sheer chance, while in the bath, a beautiful naked girl appears before him - she is Lala Satalin Deviluke; the daughter of the universe's ruler who has run away from home. When she appears, out of sheer chance, Rito ends up grabbing her breasts - which in Devilukian tradition, means that the two are now engaged (=D). Through a bizarre series of events, Lala ends up living with Rito and his younger sister Mikan (they live alone as their parents both work overseas a lot). This causes problems for Rito, as he has a crush on his classmate Haruna Sairenji (who also secretly likes him too). Also, there's the fact that Lala's crazy inventions never go as planned. The series is a harem comedy which mainly revolves around Lala's inventions unintentionally giving opportunities for harem things, or Rito falling into a girl and it looking really bad for him. During the series, various classmates join the class, as does an assassin from space (Golden Darkness; who takes heavy inspiration from Eve in Black Cat) and a ghost in an android body.

The sequel, To Love Ru Darkness, goes more into soft-core porn than harem and focuses on Rito and Momo, one of Lala's younger sisters who joins her sister during the first series. Momo is the kind of girl who acts all nice at school, but is a big pervert inside - she plans on creating a harem for Rito so that she can be with him as well. Also, there's a dark organisation looming in the shadows that has some connection to Golden Darkness. Funnily enough, neither Lala or Haruna appear that much in To Love Ru Darkness xD.
Momo's "Harem Plan". She realised that the only way she can get Rito, her sister's fiance, for herself is if she shares him with her sister and all the other potential "harem candidates".
Oh, Kentaro Yabuki and the writer guy who's name I forget did that with To Love Ru. In fact, it was worse - he had the lead accidentally confess to ALL the female cast!
Yeah - the OVA and the anime don't really connect either. But it's cool - really really cool XDD
