I've never been nominated for the fanfic awards, so it hasn't really bothered me. I guess the main reason for that is my slow release strategy (I'd love to do Bright World as a monthly, but my novel has to take priority).
I've had people read my writing and instantly pick up on the anime influence - to be honest, I read very few western novels xD
My writing style's an odd one; at first, I started out trying to imitate the few light novels I've read, then as I started writing more, it gradually became more and more descriptive.
Afterwards, I had to deal with my usual family drama. :/ Then, I went and put a newer pic of myself on here. It's not the best picture in the world, but it's better than nothing I suppose.
Fine, and I think you should defend me from Hips. Just saying.
If a character is around and they see an ally about to be picked off, of course it's natural to step in. I've had numerous times in my life where I've stepped in like that (of course, nothing as dramatic as in anime xD).
I like to try and avoid situations like that. Obviously, they have to occur sometimes - such as if there's no way for a character to win against someone, but I don't want them to die yet and such xD
I guess some people can get attached to certain weapons, like a sword they've used a lot or something. But yeah, if the enemy has a better weapon or a gun with more ammo - why not take it?
