  • That's right.

We didn't think it made sense having 'Best Long Story', 'Best One Shot', 'Best Journey' etc. then on top of that 'Best Work'. Each fic falls into too many categories. This way awards are more difficult to get really, which makes them more special.
All in the span of two episodes! Nia has the coolest eyes though, their like pink and blue and green all in one swirl of awesome xD
Yeah, that all makes sense. I would probably react in a similar way. But I just finished and found out Nia is the princess and daughter of the Spiral King. I would watch more tonight, but my iPod's running low on batteries and it won't be able to hold enough charge for another episode.
Yeah, I noticed that Naruto has like over 200 episodes.

Right now, he seems to be the only one who even realizes what Simon is going through. Everyone else is feeling bad for Kamina or wondering who will replace him, but Forehead boy is the only one who even recognizes the fact that Simon is probably feeling like crap.

I'm watching the 9th episode right now, and it's a little depressing. Simon feels so bad! And everyone is talking bad about him. But he's also kinda being a jerk to everybody else. Gurren Lagaan just ran out of control.
Well, I can imagine. After all, the thing that attracts us to stories most often would be the overall story and the characters. Anything with an award in that is bound to grab attention.

And speaking of awards, if we get a lot more writers in the community, you think they'll expand the awards? After all, the main reason a lot of the categories were droppe was because there wasn't really anyone competing in those areas.
Makes sense. Are most anime shows 24 or 26 episodes? I'm scrolling through Netflix and they're almost all 26 or 24. I guess I mean to ask are 24/26 episodes typically the cap for a single anime, unless it's super popular?

I like him, he reminds me of a mix between Kamina and Simon. He's a leader to the orphan kids, but he's still a kid and still has to learn some things before he can be a real leader.

But now that means that Simon is technically the leader of the team, so a lot more bad guys are gonna know his name xD I sure hope Simon gets the main part. In my opinion, he's the most interesting character and I sort of see myself in him.
Well, I like to believe in the best of our community, so hopefully things'll be different this time.

And you raised an interesting point. Which categories would, in your opinion, count as "iconic"?
So why was he included in the introduction? I don't know...

Didn't Kamina call him something like Forehead boy? I don't remember exactly what he called him, but it had something to do with his huge forehead.

I wasn't expecting his death in a bad way, I was just expecting it. Don't get me wrong, I definitely think it was essential, well thought out, and good for the show, but I just figured that if he didn't change before or during the big battle, he would most likely die.
Well, I think it's more of a general observation. After all, the more famous you are, the more likely you are to be a polarizing figure.

True, you do have a point, but it'd be fun going up against 'em. And not only that, if we get nominated, then there's some recognition right there, at least. It should help for the next batch of awards.
Oh... Yeah, I'm still new to these things.

Let me guess, the old man? xD I don't even know why he's in the theme song, I've only seen him once, which was to lead them to the bath house gunmen. Either the old man or forehead boy xD

Yeah, Kamina stayed the same through out the whole series. Headstrong and kind of a jerk, but everyone still loved him. But I can't say I wasn't expecting his death. No one is THAT likable without being killed xD
I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet. There are a couple of folks out there who think he and GaMa are overrated, but hey, we have a shot at least, right?
Yeah, Kamina did seem like the main character for those, but I definitely wanted Simon to be the main. I felt so bad for Simon when Yoko and Kamina hooked up and Simon was watching. But now that Kamina is out of the picture, I wonder what'll happen next. Besides, I think now the show can take more of a serious tone that engages the viewer, rather than spend a majority of the episode having comic relief.

That's a good title for the first arc. Was that the end of season one? It doesn't say on Netflix.
