  • This time I'm going to wait for the epilogue, as I'd rather see where Reggie had disappeared to before giving my judgement on the two chapters.
Phantasm doesn't really have much to do at this point - Soul Wing has teamed up with Sakak to shut down the lab peacefully, something Phantasm wouldn't do. He was really looking forward to killing everyone, so it's kind of a bummer-moment for him. He's not going to stop Soul Wing and Sakak from doing it that way, but at this point he's rather apathetic. Essentially, he's bowing out.
Well, I won't be able to say for sure until you put up the epilogue, but they're about the same. Although Skyridge is mostly epic because of the big cliffhanger at the end.
Yeah I just finished Skyridge yesterday. Sooooo epic.

That sucks, I think I rely on internet too much to be able to deal with that.
Good. I just finished and posted the newest chapter of Unpredictable, and I've been trying to catch up on a bunch of fics I haven't read in a while.

    Yourself?
    Yeah, exactly.

Anyway, I've gotta go now. I'll speak to you soon. I might be on later (when I'm back from the pub)
Yeah, probably because they're focusing too much on their next manga. Hopefully this will make them focus on PCP more, like you said.
Yeah but Nanamine wasn't totally screwed when he went insane, Light was properly backed into a corner by then.

Whenever Light was in a position that was any less than complete and utter defeat he managed to think rationally and get out of it but Nanamine got stupid once things stopped going his way. I expect that will happen this time too, Nanamine will have a ridiculous upper hand for ages then Mashiro and Takagi will come up with something new which will start to do him damage. As soon as they do that, he'll start to panic and come up with a new plan which will be slightly worse than his old one. Cracks will start to form. Things will get even worse. He'll come up with a slightly worse plan. More cracks will form. He'll come up with a positively awful plan. He will either be utterly humiliated or he will see the error of his ways.
They have a similar appearance, I wouldn't go so far as to say the same appearance.

I admit that they are similar characters but I don't think Light was used to "mould" Nanamine. All they have in common is a somewhat similar appearance and cunning. Many of the author's characters are extremely cunning in one way or another and I don't think Light and Nanamine are even cunning in the same way - the way they come up with plans is actually very different. Frankly, Light is a lot smarter. Nanamine's plans work while the going is good and everything is going to plan but when things start to go wrong he loses it and does stupid shit which is totally unlike Light, who can come up with back up plans in a second.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that's Nanamine being based off Light but I can see what you're getting at, they are similar-ish characters.
I don't think you mentioned that to me before.

    Nanamine Light? In what way?
Yeah, I am !! XD It is currently my fav manga/anime - I read and watched everything up till now LOL Glad to meet another Ao no Exorcist fan here!!
Oh yeah, but the only reason he isn't legitimate is because of his crazy personality and obsession rather than the way he's doing things is what I mean.

And, yeah, that is funny. Nanamine is one of my favourite characters. So cleverly made. It's obvious he loves them, more than Eiji does in fact, he's obsessed with them, which made their rejection of him and his methods even more painful for him. He's not as good as them and he knows it but he comes up with all of these new methods and even though he says he's trying to beat them, all he's really trying to do is impress them.
Yeah, I'm all up to date.

I told you it would be Nanamine coming back! =P

Also, I like Nanamine a lot better this time. I think his way of doing things is now totally legitimate.
Yeah, I made notes of everything I judged because I didn't think I'd be able to remember it clearly enough without notes to make a fair decision at the end.

By consolidate, I just mean put them into a form that is actually helpful to you. At the moment the notes are vague ramblings with a judging decision at the end.
    Ah, that's right I do.

I actually have notes on BW saved on my computer somewhere so I just need to consolidate them. Thanks for reminding me, I would've never done it otherwise.

I should be able to put them into a coherent form within the next 2-3 days.
I guess you're at an internet cafe or something then? When are you getting internet etc.?

And it's going alright thanks. Making decent progress.
Oh, no I haven't sorry. I'll try to soon but I'm working really hard on my novel and I don't have a lot of time on my hands right now.
