  • Of course I'm not thinking of new things to creOOoooo, a video game set on a Parallel Earth with an immortal dude, a treasure hunting chick, a Technokinetic chick and a perverse lad!...create.
    |3 Sooooo, the Ditto Mew Theory, the Travelsverse, bringing 6 people together who, according to yourself, wouldn't talk under normal circumstances, are not accomplishments?
Of course I don't, but Nintendo put Gods into their games, so I'm forced to keep them in for accuracy in the Travelsverse |3 Ah well, I created a force of pure evil in response :L

Oh heavens no, that would violate my Gran's teachings. And if there's one thing I wouldn't THINK of violating, it's those teachings :L
Fair enough :p I'm currently thinking of introducing a new God into the Travelsverse: basically, the creator of everything. Arceus only created Sinumonas, the Three Goddesses only created Altus Regno, etcetc :L

Awesome, I'm guessing I was somewhat missed |3
Sorry about the break in reviews, I was expecting Internet but a the place I'm in (aborad) is getting redone. I got a little connection somewhere else, but it should be back by next week.
Yeah, I did read the reviews. You eventually brought up the fact as an excuse for your English, although I think a lot of pain could have been spared if you had mentioned it earlier - maybe something along the lines of 'Sorry about my English, guys - I'm an ESOL student, so my grammar's not that good, but I want to improve.' before chapter one. I dunno. But in any case, neither you nor Yami Ryu handled that situation too well. :/
To be entirely fair, she gave you a shit-ton of valid advice. She wasn't very nice about it, but she did go to great lengths to tell you exactly what was wrong. You kinda just ignored her. :/

Also, you didn't tell her you were an ESOL student for quite some time, so she just assumed you were a normal high schooler with bad English skills.
She was banned quite some time ago, actually. Probably for constantly delivering reviews with the same level of snark and cynicism that she did with yours.
Yeah, Champion Game's mine. It's up to fourteen chapters there, so it counts. wububu

Oh, did it? Yeah, bnb's a funny sort - as evidenced by his writing. I guess he just decided it wasn't worth it to post it all here, then.

There's a shockingly good chance that it was a person named Yami Ryu. Was it?
I have no idea. Pretty sure it's still going. It pops up on the front page every week or two, so I guess it is? She's still got a big banner for it in her sig and all.

Yeah, and above and beyond that, there's just no activity. Let's compare this: The last thread on the first page of the Writer's Workshop here was last posted in . . . less than two days ago. The last thread on the first page of Serebii's fanfiction section . . . barely twenty-four hours ago. PC . . . . . nearly three weeks. It takes three weeks for a thread to fall off the first page there. *sigh* And there's maybe half a dozen fics that have more than a handful of chapters, like you said. Off the top of my head, I can name Anima Ex Machina (also at Serebii), The Retelling of Pokemon Colosseum (also at Serebii), Mentor (defunct afaik), The Thinking Man's Guide to Destroying the World (disproportionately popular >_>) and Champion Game. Those are pretty much all that I can think of. :/

Still, I'm well-established in the PC member community, unlike at Serebii or here (though I'm working on it). People know me at PC, and not just in the fanfiction section.
Nah, Keith sees a newspaper. You'd think it was common knowledge, it's kind of hard to get around that.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Now that I think about it, though, there will definitely be time-lapses. I have nine regulated 6v6s planned, but will only show all of two or three of them. Those will be the important ones anyway. I'm planning a tournament arc of my own, which will be part of it. You'll find out about that in ch 26 I believe, in which I will also reveal who the champion is. It'll be a little cliche, but I have my reasons. Gah, I need to get writing :p Almost done with chap 25 ("almost" meaning 3000 words in and not sure how much farther).
Yeah, it's still going. I used to read it back then, too, but I haven't looked at it much lately for some reason. It wasn't because of the long chapters . . . It was a good fic, but there was still just something off about it for me. I don't know.

I don't use my Serebii account much either . . . I mean, I hardly ever post. PC is my main forum, though lately I've gravitated towards Bulbagarden because of the increased activity in the fanfiction section. I hope to become as much of a regular here as I am at PC.
Yeah I know, It'll be interesting to see if I can pull it off. I'm probably going to draw a lot of inspiration from the tournament at the beginning of Seasons. I'll stick in lots of flashbacks, epic strategies, and maybe a couple time-lapses if things get boring. I don't know if I'll be able to make every match-up like my Koga and Erika battles.
Yeah, it's always a bit iffy to give your characters the same names as canon characters. The only author I know who can get away with it is Dragonfree, because The Quest For The Legends is sooooo old that her May predates the anime's May.
You could say its based off of FRLG yeah, it's really in its own 'verse. Team Rocket is more proficient and resilient than in the games, for example. I grew up playing Blue version, though, so that's my primary influence. Unpredictable will probably be 50-60 chapters long, but a lot of those will just be full 6 on 6 battles that take up a couple chapters. I'm going to try to finish it by December, but we'll see.
