  • She tried to split up Takagi's relationship and all sorts of other shit. She became a rival AFTER she was a proper villain, yes, but she was most definitely a villain.

It's alright if he makes up too many characters if all of them fulfilled a role at some point but the True Human guy was useless, Rabuta & Peace kid was also pretty much totally useless.
    Koogy was definitely a villain.

Also, Iwase was a villain too. There've been plenty really - they just don't all stay villains.

Yeah, the writer was going through a stage of creating a horde of characters who were essentially just extras at that stage... It was getting stupid.
Nanamine is not the only villain they've had, not by a long shot.

There's been: their school friend whose name I've forgotten, Koogy and Nakai (yes I would call him a villain in the post Nanamine arc)

I think there's one more I'm forgetting too.

And, yes, I do hate Nanamine - but he makes a great villain!
I really liked the last arc because of how crazy Nanamine got, that's what it was all about for me. Also Nakai was brilliant.

I think Nanamine was one of the best villains in Bakuman yet, although the follow up Nakai arc was also fantastic.
Yeah, I was guessing it was Nanamine anyway but in the last frame you can actually see the bottom of Nanamine's face. You can tell it's him.

I expect at some point Nanamine heard that Takagi and Mashiro were planning a non-mainstream mainstream battle manga (we were probably shown this but I don't explicitly remember it). It kinda makes sense since he both hates Ashirogi and wants to be a good author in Jump. I suspect the manga was actually written by Nanamine and not by this old man. The mystery is what his plan actually is. Sadly, I will have to wait 2 weeks to find out.
That's sweet of you and I did indeed.

Hard work, such a lot of reading.
From one Fullmetal Alchemist fan to another I thought I should notify you that amazon is having a special discount on Fullmetal alchemist Blu Ray DVDs this week and it will end on Saturday at midnight. All the volumes are now worth 20 dollars each (as opposed to their regular, 30 to 45 dollars worth) and I thought it was a good deal.
But you haven't even seen the series and I have no clue if you have a blu-ray player or not. You're probably not in a buying mood as well. Just thought I should tell you this though anyway.

BTW, have you seen Eden of the East? It looked good and I wanted to hear what other people say about it before I check it out.
You create your character - either a hero or a villain, and your character is added to a list of existing characters. Then, characters are selected from that list to participate in a private roleplay where the villain concocts an evil scheme and the hero must try to stop them. If the hero succeeds, he "wins." If the villain successfully completes his scheme, the villain "wins."
There are fourteen, actually, but I've posted them all at two other forums where Champion Game's been running since April. I post a new chapter every weekend, so I need to finish Chapter Fifteen sometime in the next day or two.
Relatively, not very far. I'm going to sit down and do a solid hour on it right now, though, and then if I get a good amount of work done, I should be able to spend the rest of the afternoon reading/reviewing/writing fanfiction. I still need to do the better part of a chapter for Champion Game's release tomorrow, so that comes first, but I might be able to make some headway on my reviewing backlog.
Eh, mine's halfway through... just a few more weeks... dammit, I didn't realize that until now. This is sad. D:
