Talking about it makes me want to dig up my old collection. I think I have 2-3 binders full of cards.

Wow, I don't want to seem ignorant, but I didn't know that TCG still existed. I remember playing the original series, back in 1999.

Do you remember where you found that picture of Dewgong, that you're using for your avatar? Dewgong is my favorite, too. I'd like to find a nice picture, to use as my avatar.

The short answer is no, it is absolutely not realistic to ever expect the English dub to come out simultaneously (or nearly simultaneously) with the Japanese version. A one-off special here or there, sure, but not a weekly series.

There was a thread in Pokemon Anime not to long ago in which a bunch of us explained why, but I can't seem to find it

Also, the Japanese version isn't taking any more breaks this year than normal. They always take a few weeks off in summer followed by a few hour long specials in the fall / winter to help even things out.
