Anyway, I wasn't planning on reading Dragon Days (because I didn't like Lance), but then I saw some gym leader killer in your signature, so I might read it after all. That intrigued me...
I don't know if I should make it like he's not willing to win badges from other people but is willing to bet his own badges, it's a bit of a weird honor thing for him.
Yeah, I figured, people do a lot of journey fics, but no one add their special touch, either they get out of the whole journey genre all together or the fic gets too simplistic so I thought maybe if I changed some things here and there it'll be better, plus the betting badges part gives me a good character development since people fight to get their badges and might lose them and if they do they have to figure out a way to get it back.
This idea I've suddenly got in my mind since yesterday actually, takes place 15 years after HGSS and it's about a whole new type of journey, instead of challenging gymleaders right away trainers must participate in each of the gym's tournaments to face off against the other challengers and then they'll get to battle the leader, they can only do it by winning a Beginner's Badge in each of the towns where a professor lives though, not just that but trainers can bet their badges on normal battles and if they lose they lose the badge as well.
