  • Quick question for when you wake up - do you spell "Archaeos" the same way I just did here?

For reference, it's that colourful Rock-Flying fossil bird from Isshu.
I have tried a Nuzlocke, on FireRed version. It's on my blog. I don't recomend you read it though. It's kinda boring, except for the ending, which makes me cry every time. I played by nothing but the normal rules except that if I blacked out it would be game over. I got to the fight with Gary on Nugget Bridge. It was a masacre :S :'(

I'm trying another one with Pearl at the minute. As much as I hate the Sinnoh region, I'm actually kind of enjoying it. Again, normal rules except for that I'm only allowed fourth gen Pokemon. It's to help me get to know them better, as I'm still not actually that familiar with most of them.
I always used to sell the Everstone. I don't know why I don't anymore. Just in case I guess lol

I've never tried a playthrough without evolving one of my Pokemon before so that should be interesting. Another experiment I've wanted to try would be having a whole team of Pokemon that had three stages but keep them all in the first one.

And yeah but I don't think I'd get them in the same order. And it's Aipom :p
I'm sure it won't go over 20 or below 10. As all my stories, I have all the major events planned out, it's just a matter of pacing them. For example, I intended for the event in chapter 3 to happen in 4 or 5, but then I realised that if I delay it, it'll just seem forced.
Well I coulda used an Everstone or something. I guess I just didn't think at the time.

And yeah, I love doing little projects like that. I really wanna do Ash's team in Yellow Version (Pikachu, three starters, Butterfree, and Pidgeot) and then maybe try and do some of the manga teams, although some of them are really difficult to organise.
    That's an interesting idea...
But I don't think the ending I am going for leaves room for good spin-offs.
No no, I'm doing it in Crystal. I just wanted a Johto version of his Kanto team, with the obvious exception of his Espeon. Looking back on it though, I shouldn't have let Togepi evolve. But oh well.
I have both HG and SS. I'm trying to complete the Pokedex, get 5 trainer card stars etc in HG, whereas I'm using SS for experiments.
I never beat Red in Gold or Crystal. Back then I was still only five or six, so I was still only training my starter. I'm currently playing through Crystal with an exact counter to his team too, which is actually really cool. The three Johto starters to match his starters, Togepi to match Pikachu, Umbreon to match his Espeon, and Sudowoodo to match his Snorlax.
In HG however, it was very different. I knew it was gonna be tough, so I trained my whole team to level 70 before I went up, and it turned out even that wasn't enough. I was able to take five of his Pokemon down, but then he sent out Snorlax. Took down two of my Pokemon in one shot each so it was a one on one between it and my Nidoking, and I think I had 6HP or something by the end of it. I was disapointed with him opening with Pikachu; Nidoking took it out in a single Earthquake.
My only other active story is currently The Secrets of Fortree City, which is not as good as Journey out of Mt. Coronet, or at least I don't think it is. It's basically a story of a girl who gets caught up in a battle that will decide Hoenn's fate, and her life is ruined in the process.
I'm glad to see so many people liked Journey out of Mt. Coronet, it was completely unexpected.
Hi, thank you for adding me, and hopefully we'll become good friends. :p
(That was weird to write, considering I'm anti-social.(Too much information?(This is getting weird now...)))
Love me some Poliwrath. I like Snorlax as a Pokemon too, but I've never actually used one.

HG is easily my most played game, but I was actually sorta disapointed with the way my team turned out. Meganium (because that's what I had in Gold, and Crystal, when they first came out, not as awesome as I remembered it) Xatu was awesome, Ampharos joined my party by mistake and now it's one of my favourite Pokemon lol, Nidoking was alright, Flareon was extremely diaspointing, Cloyster was suprisingly good, but I still thought it was just meh.
