Literally, all they had to do was include Ho-Oh. It wouldn't have made it best finale possible, but it at least would have it more satisfactory, cycling back to the first episode.
I have to admit. it was a stroke of brilliance to have Brock discover it was Nurse Joy in the photo. Who else would have been able to figure that out other than the guy who can tell apart each Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny by the smallest of minutiae?
I appreciate that Cilan brought up an important question: What happens when Misty encounters a Pokemon that's both part something she loves, but also part something she hates?
Well, that would be a waste of opportunity, especially since they're all already pretty well-defined and wouldn't need to come up with someone from scratch.
I can defnitely see Goh's POV in going their separate ways. It's just that: a) I developed no emotional attachment to him, so I'm not that invested in his plight and b) I'm really hoping for either Nemona, Arven or Penny to be the new main companion.
Ah crud, Goh is sticking around. Can Nemona come and replace him already? Or Arven? Or even Penny? Or a different original character? Literally, anybody else.
Am I the only one who feels like Goh's stuff should have been done BEFORE the league? There was no way they were gonna top Ash achieving that milestone. It's baffling it wasn't saved for the end.
I am overwhlemed with emotions. It was a bumpy ride, but it still feels so gratifying to see this boy and his partner finally reach this momentuous occasion, especially after following his journey for 2 and a half decades. I'm joyous and at the same time anxious of what comes next.
This battle was definitely better than still images of a big monkey going Brrrr. But seriously, it's definitely clear where the actual effort was going.
I get what the writers were going for when Leon said to Diantha that he was lucky, but that unfortunately comes across as condesceding after such a result.
You know. I would be fine with Leon winning against Diantha. I just wish it was done in a way that did not remind people why she was so derided in the XY games and consequently, gave her such an unflattering reputation for so long. In short, I can't wait for this series to end so I never have to...
Normally, this would just be a harmless, uneventful, ultimately forgettable episode that I would just move on from. But its awkward placement really makes it stand out for the wrong reasons. You know it's bad when you manage to ovetake the Axew episode in terms of crushing the pacing.
I'm so happy Diantha won. It's not exactly a rewarding experience having her as a fave Champion, what with the constant denigration of people calling her the weakest. So this felt really gratifying.
Though I'm not exactly looking forward to her next match, where her opponent has been built up by...
