  • Alright, so... here's the big question: Do we allow Natla and Trial H to successfully pull off their heist, leaving Lara fighting to get the Scion back for a large part of the plot, or do they fail, leaving our villains fighting to retrieve the Scion from her for a large part of the plot.

The outcome of this initial scene has a huge impact on the direction of the roleplay.
Watch the interaction between Natla and her own creation (her doppleganger of Lara) in this video and you'll see she is very much the same way.

Every story arc Natla has ever been in has involved her double-crossing someone she was previously allied with.
Perfect. Before I post a start-up, however, we have to establish a pre-existing relationship between Natla and Tennoji, how did they meet?
Well, it's unusual for Natla to work alone, but Lara killed her original allies in TR1 and Natla would need to already have the Scion to create more Atlanteans, so at least for the moment Natla will be acting alone.
Excellent, meanwhile, on the simpler end of the spectrum, Lara will be at her home, because as much fun as it would be to have her out adventuring somewhere, it makes for a better confrontation if she's home when Natla arrives.

Would you like to post the start-up this time?
Hmm... well, I'd just assume ignore the plot of Tomb Raider: Underworld (as it made absolutely no sense in the continuity of the series, in my opinion), which leaves Natla having managed to survive HER apparent death following her final confrontation with Lara in TR1/Anniversary.

Thus, in theory, she too could really be anywhere, but I have my own ideas there...

It is revealed later in the series that Lara returned to the Great Pyramid to recover the Atlantean Scion, the ancient artifact Natla was originally seeking in TR1. It seems likely to me that Natla would attempt to retrieve the Scion from Croft Manor, with the intent of using it to once more revive the Atlantean race (true villains' plots never change).
    Ah... that makes sense.

Well, that pretty much just leaves the question of how Tennoji and Natla will meet up.
I like it, it's making more sense all the time. Now, this may be a silly question, but are the "Undead" actually undead, or in name only?
You know, that's actually a very intriguing take on things. Natla's original intent in TR1 was to unleash the revived Atlantean race on mankind to jumpstart human evolution, that being the case, the plot doesn't seem out of character for her at all.
Ah, I see (was confused, as I know absolutely nothing about Kamen Rider). So then, would the "ancient civilization" you mentioned earlier be Natla's "Atlantis"?
    Hmm... I like it.

However, that leaves you with both heroes and a villain, I'd like to play both sides as well ;-)

Perhaps we tie in Jacqueline Natla?
Hmm, sounds intriguing... I seem to remember I had been tossing around the idea of a Tomb Raider crossover before I left - sound interesting?
