Such problems. Gible was seldom ever funny. Its draco meteor gag got old fast. The only thing it stands out for is being Ash's first dragon type. What story did Gible have besides that, honestly?
And on top of that, Gible only has like...2 major battles in its entire run.
Well I wouldn't expect otherwise. When you first came here you were new and didn't know anybody. Now you've been here for awhile and can interact with users outside the anime section.
Why not? I had been watching DP for 3 years, of course I wanted to stick around for the 4th and final year to see how it ended.
I still had to see how they would handle the end of the Paul rivalry, what Ash's Sinnoh team would be, the Grand Festival, and if Ash would win the league.
That's what kept me going. I already invested myself in 3/4th's of DP's storyline, how could I not stick for the climax?
Nah. As much as I like Iris/Dento (and probably Bel), I'm still going to take a hiatus.
I'm not keen on Ash getting getting all the starters again, and his team right now isn't terribly exciting. TR's subplot is interesting but they only get 3 minutes of screentime per episode.
Really, I lost my excitement when the Sinnoh league was only 7 episodes after spending 4 entire goddamn years in DP. The DP saga was a vast improvement in terms of the way things were handled...yet they still managed to screw over the league somehow.
I don't even care anymore that Ash didn't win it, but the fact that Ash only battled...4 people (?!), and most of his older Pokemon came back for no reason really rubbed me the wrong way.
I wish that opening showing those specific pokemon wasn't so misleading. WTF did I get hyped about seeing Muk and Glalie get a battle if it never happened?
Heh, I guess if you look at it that way, but I'd add Infernape to the category as well since Paul said "fuck you" on it in it's first form, and Ash unlocked it's potential, and evolved it. I'd give all the credit( or at least 90%) for Chimchar's strength to Ash honestly. I'd also give more credit to Ash for Buizel. After all he got it in episode 55. Dawn had it for 21 episodes comapred to Ash's 136.
But I don't seriously think the writers want us to look at things that deeply. Lol, they just want us to see that Ash beat Paul. We older audiences canp pick it apart all we like.
