  • IMO the only thing "cheap" about the Paul battle was Gliscor. Buizel got knocked out far too quickly to matter, and won with the move Ash worked on...Ice Punch. Pretty sure Ice Aqua Jet missed. Also IIRC Paul let Gastrodon faint anyway due to his stragety. Torterra was just garbage.
That's it, I just said Bel. I was thinking of typing out a sentence but I didn't see the effort in doing so.
Glalie hadn't been used since the league in 2005, it didn't even get used in Battle Frontier.

This bothers me, it was the one poke that needs another battle
Until after Isshu. At the time we didn't know why Gible was captured, other than to give Ash a first dragon type. But now that we're in BW and Iris comes from a dragon Gym, it sort of makes sense looking back at it. I definitely think they'll make the connection at the end of the arc.

Is it just me or was the Sinnoh league choices oddly chosen? Why did Staraptor need two battles? Why did Heracross get two battles?

Why weren't Muk or Glalie used in battle at all? The whole league was screwed up choice-wise.
How would you feel if Ash releases Gible by giving it to Iris at the end of BW?

I really think Ash captured Gible because the writers knew at the time they would have a dragon-type girl on the cast next gen.

Gible is obviously going to make a Phanpy-like return I assume.
It is kinda surprising when you realize just how poorly Johto was treated in DP.

I mean we see Johto Pokemon in every arc, there were a lot in random battles or in the wild during various AG episodes, so its not as if Johto Pokemon suddenly returned in DP.

But really aside from the Lyra mini-arc and Dawn's Cyndauil, (and I guess Jasmine?), the writers really did piss all over HGSS. No Frontier Brains either.

Bayleef and Totodile come back to get no battle at all, Quilava gets a 30 second fight...and its really only Noctowl who got its proper due.

While I always figured Ash probably wasn't going to return to Johto, especially once it became obvious how drawn out Sinnoh was, they really don't give a shit about Ash's Johto Pokemon.

Since HGSS could do nothing for Ash's Johto starters, I can't think of anything in the future that will. They, along with Kingler, Muk and possibly Glalie, are probably the pokemon of Ash's that will never be used in battle again.
Venice? Florence for me, not so cheap.

But, Cheryl Cole is fit while Posh Spice looks like a dog.
Oh, its Gible! Yeah, I've been rather busy with some other writing stuff, that I can't divulge at this time. :B And, I'm not sure to be honest. We haven't got the results back as far as I know.
What happened was when I was looking for spell ideas, I found Lux from Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, looked up what it did in a walkthrough, and wrote that into my notes. Then, I wrote that scene, not knowing that I forgot to change HP untill you pointed it out
Yeah, at least it was good enough to get me an award but lately the responses have gone down so I'm looking for more readers, do you know anyone I could ask?
