  • The grass starters attract makes it interesting a bit.

Anyway as long as Ash's Pokemon all evolve at least once I won't complain. I can see Ash with a lot of middle stage Pokemon this gen, especially since they all have 3 forms.

But I agree, TR's story might be the most interesting part of it. Especially since I'm getting the feeling this is TR's last arc.
So what is your plan, Gible? Just watch the key or "important" eps of BW?

Anyway Ash's bird is always boring at the very beginning. Doesn't help matters this is his 5th. The fire starter also definitely seems the least interesting this time around, both the grass and water starter have already gotten some good spotlight.

Its just sad how limited Ash's team is this gen. The croc will probably last a while so Ash likely won't capture anything new for a long time. I can't see the starters/bird ever being Oak'd while Isshu is still going.
What's missing is it feels less like a sequel to what came before it and more like a new show.

Its odd, both AG and DP made it very apparent they were direct sequels to everything that came before it.

Best Wishes really feels like it could have been a different show. Swap out Ash for a similar shonen protagonist, and TR could have been any other recurring villain trio this arc...

It's why I said Ash's story should have been resolved at some point.
My only problem is the endless loop. One of the reasons DP felt exciting at the start (besides Paul, Pokehunter J, etc), is it really felt like it was leading to something special or climatic to Ash's story.

If you told me back in 2006 that Ash was just going to come in the Top 4 in the league and lose to guy with all legendaries miserably, I wouldn't have been as excited to watch it the whole way through.

This is a first for me, as I have seen every episode of Kanto, Orange, Johto, AG and DP. Never missed an episode, but Best Wishes is the first arc where I don't think I'll watch most of it.

I also don't like it that it seems the filler formula has returned, even though its too early to say that...but that's what it looks like.
I don't plan on stopping entirely, more like a hiatus. I'm probably going to only watch the key or important episodes of Best Wishes, and not watch every episode like I used to.

I saw the first 10 episodes, but that was just to get a feel of the saga and Iris/Dento/Shooti. I don't plan on watching 11 or 12, but I will watch 13 to see Bel.

    That's my plan for BW.
You changed your username and I was wondering who you were. So you like X-men yet you don't like TMNT. Yet they both have mutants.
Sorry I wasn't on today...or yesterday. My blood pressure is extremely low, so I fall asleep for long periods of time during the day :(

I think he truly misses you~ He needs his trolling buddy back :D

*slightly rained fury but can't fully unleash it because she's too MEH about shipping forums at this moment*

That's hot; I'll consider it one day ;D
