  • Hallo.
    I'm a Brony.
    That means I watch Ponies.
Not Ponies like The First Series, as that would fall within the boundries of Girly stuff.
    No, I watch Magic Ponies.
Like for example, how am I gonna split Two Ticket between six people?
    The Answer - I don't.
And if that don't work: I still don't.
This little show is packed full of episodes, full to the brim of humour and you best hope
    It's never over.
Won't you run out of room to deconstruct eventually though.

Yeah but it got a little slow at times.

Also I posted a new chapter today.
Don't we we all xD funny thing that when you deconstruct a trope you just end up creating a new one xD

Now that I think about it I didn't pay a lot of attention at the first film it was good but it got a little boring at times.
    >_> I think I'm going to call it a night and start again tomorrow. I feel like I'm hitting my head against a brick wall right now, really frustrating.
Yeah but she wouldn't have gotten as many tropes in TV tropes otherwise xD.

    What dog?

Not exactly more like EVA turned upside down TV tropes described it as being an awesome fuel in contrasts to EVA's suicide fuel plus that it has a habit of doing Take That! to EVA in multiple occasions especially considering that their final enemy was basically the result of the human instrumentation project so it's a battle between individuality and will to fight against instrumentality and fear of pain.

They also do the while trapped in a dimension that you wish to thing like EVA but the characters manage to break out of it by realizing that there's no point in living the life they always wanted if it's not a life that they made for themselves.

Plus it's where Rebuild Shinji's nickname "Simonji" comes from due to the fact that the scene where Shinji dives to save Rei looks a lot like one of the scenes of the final battle and the similarity between the two characters.
Actually her fanservice is pointed out once but late in the series she wears little clothing because it's easier for her to move around since she needs to rely on speed and reaction time so that she can fight.

I've been wanting to watch that one but movies have gotten expensive lately.

Actually it's kind of funny taking the setting for EVA into account you would expect it to be a little more lighthearted considering how those types of mecha series tend to go while Gurren Lagann's setting is way darker but it's made to be more lighthearted than normal well at least during the first story arc. Plus one thing I really liked is that the bad guys in the final arc is literally a world that gave up their individuality and became one sentient being so that they wouldn't have to deal with the pain of loss *hint hint*

Though one of the bad points is that they redo a lot of things EVA did mostly to show a different perspective of it like having one of the main characters turn out to be of the same race as the bad guys, killing an iconic character that encouraged the others, having the main character struggle and overcome the pain of loss (though they do it a lot less...graphically here)
Ah I see. No, I edit too much as I go along so I wouldn't like to do that. I'm doing alright though... Just need to stay off Bulba xD
Yoko yeah she's the fanservice pack but she tends to help out from time to time due to her ability with guns.
Well I've done all the planning and stuff already so now I'm writing it. I find it easier to do the write up on computer so I can edit as I go along. I already plan on paper.
Doing work. I have two essays due on Monday. One is finished but needs to be read over. The other I have a detailed plan for but I haven't started the actual write up. Not too much of a worry since I can do the write up in a matter of hours with a plan as detailed as I have but it is a case of actually doing it, which is difficult more in terms of motivation than anything else.
