Yeah, it also funnier because prior to Brendan saving his dad they weren't gonna let him journey around Hoenn, at least till Brich saw how determined Brendan was about becoming a trainer, coincidentally enough Brendan's a fan of Gold who later becomes his teacher so you can imagine how eager he was.
Also, in the DP arc Lucas and Dawn have abilities, Lucas can talk to Pokemon and Dawn can heal them, I got both of these abilities from Yellow in special.
It does actually, AD just goes there because of a rupture in time. Mostly because in the Advanceverse Brendan is Birch's son but instead of being Norman who's moving into Hoenn, it's Birch who has been assigned as the new professor, I figured it's a good excuse as to why Brendan and his mom moved to Littleroot instead of going to Petalburg where Norman was.
Exactly. Another trait my universe has is that most main characters get an apprentice. Red and Blue got Yellow in the Stadium arc, and then Red got Gold in the end of the GSC arc, then Gold became Brendan's teacher right before the battle at Sootopolis against Team Aqua, then Brendan became Emerald's teacher, in Advanceverse Emerald is a little kid who looks up to Brendan and even dressed up as him and also Wally actually becomes a Dex Holder and gets a Treecko, he even fight Brendan in the Hoenn League, the battle could've gone forever if it hadn't been for Wally's asthma striking at the last moment.
Then Emerald becomes Lucas's teacher when he goes to travel in Sinnoh.
Nuzlocke is a Pokemon challenge but it comes from a comic of the same name, based on a guy taking the challenge called Nuzlocke (he invented it) and Lost is a TV series - I can't believe you haven't heard of it?
Also, I thought you'll be surprised that i had the main characters lose the tournament, though you probably shouldn't be, I did it to make it seem like they weren't really so strong yet, considering even Lance lost the tournament on the next round, this way they had more space to grow.
