It was actually kinda fun to play Ellie like that. And it adds another layer to her character, in more than one way. She's always -in the back of her mind- been worried that Jericho would leave her because of how young she looks. Also, most of the sexual stuff in the world scares her shitless because of what happened to her. Now, she has something she's comfortable-with that's kind-of sexual. Right along with that, this gives her a kind of power over Jericho, and she knows how to use it.
Good idea. Surprised I didn't think of that. (She'll do that later) But she just wanted to see if she could do it. That-way, if he's ever in trouble, she can just be like, Thwip! And he's safe.
Oh good God, I didn't mean like that. I meant if she used that in battle and Jericho got distracted, it could cause problems. And, like, demonstrating with other people around, knowing that it turns him on.
Also, the mental-image of Ellie making a cereal-box dance was too cute to resist.
Me, too. But seriously. Think about it. If not for us, LOD would have been destined to be one of those typical PJO RPs where everybody goes on a quest, and the whole universe revolves around that one ultra-powerful Big-Three kid that just-so-happens to be controlled by the nine-year-old GM. (His page says he's 12 or 13 now, so approximately three years ago, he woulda been about nine.) Without us pushing against that and taking-over, there probably wouldn't even be a series, 'cause everyone woulda gotten bored and dropped-out.
Ellie and Jericho gave it depth, and emotion, and made it seem like these were real people, not just brainless fighting-machines. Which makes me wonder what The Miniryu would think if he could see the series now. He would probably be horrified.
Well, you're going to hafta share, because LOD is important to me. Hey, that rhymes! But, just because we're dating now, I don't want us to just give-up on them. With all the time and effort we put into developing them -and defying The Miniryu's bland, self-centered direction of the generic plot- they deserve better than that.
Which reminds me, LOD? I feel like we're neglecting the poor babies. And since their story is the reason we met, that hardly seems fair. Does that make any sense at-all?
Carrie is interesting, because it was one of the first horror-novels that was about people causing the horror, not monsters. And Carrie, despite destroying her town and killing dozens of people, was not some cold-hearted murderer. She was a victim of her environment. Everyone at her school made-fun of her. Right after the pig-blood was dumped on her, yes, she wanted revenge. But she didn't want to kill people. She just wanted to turn the sprinklers on and get everyone we. Then, she saw two boys get accidentally electrocuted, and lost her mind, which is how she ended-up killing most of the people at the prom and destroying her town.
It actually made me nervous more than it scared me, because the whole time I was reading, Carrie reminded me of Ellie
