I don't mean to be condescending, but you shouldn't say that you've proved an equation if you only use inexact terms to explain it.
You said that the Sinjoh Ruins were, in fact, the Ruins of Alph in another dimension. That would mean that in the ordinary three dimensions, they would occupy the exact same coordiantes as the Ruins of Alph, and the difference would lie in the "unseen" coordinate. Why, then, would the PokéGear measure any difference at all?
I have a hard time believing Ash's Infernape wasn't in charge. Sure, he wasn't that great, but people actually sorta followed him. But in all my time dealing with Battlestar, no one stuck with him for long. Hell, his own people turned against him during last year's war. I'm thinking sooner or later, even Battlestar will have learned his lesson. I'm hoping he already has, but we'll see.
