Actually, Sacred Stones has the smallest amount of characters out of the three GBA games.

It's a skill that Rogues have. It lets them open doors and chests without a lockpick.

Yeah, he's pretty awesome. He's not a bad fighter, and Pick is really useful.

Eirika, Ephraim, or L'arachel. Although he'll charge money if it's not with L'arachel.
The member card is really the only reason to want him, Colm is a lot better as a Rouge than Rennac.

At chapter 14 there are secret shops where you can buy them. Which route are you on, Eirika or Ephraim?

On 14 there are secret shops on the red squares. One of the pictures is Eirika's route, one is Ephraim's.

Just have a unit stand on the red square while holding the Member Card item. You get the member card when you recruit Rennac or kill him.
There's also one in chapter 19 which sells 'em.

Yep. A Pirate needs an Ocean Seal to advance.
Although Ross, Ewan, and Amelia all get their first promotion free.

A Pirate promotes to a Berserker, so you're in good shape there.

What about Ross? He takes some time to level, but he rocks as a berserker.

I always make him a Swordmaster, and Marisa an Assassin.
