It doesn't take much to outdo his scripts. All you have to do is write:
Giovanni: We're taking our operations elsewhere.
TR: Yes sir!
Ash: I'm a Pokemon Master now!
Delia, Professor Oak, Gary, Every companion he has: Congratulations, Ash!
Thanks.
Since I just started this, Destinies United probably won't be completed until spring 2014, or earlier.
Depends on how busy I am, and the time it takes for me to add to the plot.
I should have chapter one finished by tomorrow.
Chapter 2 and onward should be at a steady rate.
Chapter 1: The Adventure Begins
(Fade in. The vortex everyone fell into is revealed to have led them into the YGO universe.
Iris and Cilan along with Dragonite come to.)
Iris:
Oh, my head…
Cilan:
(about what happened)
I'll admit that was not a flavor I was expecting.
A strange taste to say the least.
(notices it)
Dragonite, are you okay?
Dragonite:
(nods its head)
Iris:
(sighs)
What a relief.
Dragonite, return.
(puts it back in its ball)
What about you, Axew?
(Iris, waits for a response, but gets none).
Iris:
Huh? Uh…
Axew? Axew, where'd you go?
Cilan:
What's with you?
Iris:
Axew's is gone, that's what's up!
Cilan:
Iris, clam down.
Iris:
HOW CAN I RELAX WHEN WE HAVE NO CLUE WHERE WE ARE,
AND WE DON'T KNOW WHETHER OR NOT THIS PLACE IS SAFE!!
Cilan:
There's no doubt, that we're not in our world,
but it appears that Ash and Pikachu are gone, too.
I'm beginning to think that it may be with them.
Iris:
Yeah, yeah, nice work, sir obvious!
But where are THEY?!
Cilan:
To be honest, we're gonna have to find that out ourselves.
(poses)
Perfect! IT'S SCOUTING TIME!!
Iris:
(bows head/groans in exasperation)
Oh, this is not my day...
(Continued from previous three posts below. Read upward after the post containing the Narrator's speech)
It's the next chapter, the ultimate goal [Ash, Iris, and Cilan running down a corridor from Be an Arrow!]
Ready for battle, brave and bold
I know we're gonna make it,
[Ash and co along with Pharaoh, Joey, Téa and Tristian watching at a fight with Zekrom, Arceus and the egyptian gods]
We will find a way! [shots of the egyptian gods, Good Marik, and Arceus and Zekrom]
Oh-oh, we've come so far, [Camera quickly zooms out to reveal Yugi and Ash who leap into the air, giving each other a high hive]
We fought so hard to get where we are [Pikachu in a battle with Zekrom]
Oh-oh, we belong together [All characters standing with a confident pose]
It's always you and me
Pokémon! [Ash, Iris and Cilan jump out of the way to reveal the logo, however, the title Adventures in Unova isn't present]
(Instead, the logo remains just saying "Pokémon"
the closing note of It's Always You and Me echos.
the echo transitions into this theme as it begins to play
(Theme: M14: Black - Victini and Reshiram - 4. Title Theme 2011 - YouTube)
the Pokémon logo disappears into "Shadow Realm"-esque darkness,
and the camera pans down as we "follow it".
The camera then stops at the Puzzle.
We zoom in on the Puzzle's "eye".
Once inside, we reunite with the Pokémon logo which is next
to the Yu-Gi-Oh! logo.
The Pokémon logo begins to glow and is transformed into a metallic
color and now reads,
"DESTINIES UNITED"
as the title flashes.
the movie intro theme ends as the title zooms into the camera revealing a black screen.
(Continued from previous 2 posts)
(Ash and co. watch in suspense.
Zekrom and Arceus are only angered by the two interfering.
The former flaps its wings and creates a vortex in the sea.
Team Rocket falls into it.
Team Rocket:
We're blasting off, again!!
(ding)
Ash:
Whoa, what's that?!
Iris:
It's a vortex!
But where does it go?!?
(Arceus launches the move, Judgement in a HARSH manner on Dragonite which sends Pikachu and
the former flying into the vortex)
Ash/Iris:
(in a splitscreen)
Ash:
Pikachu!
Iris:
Dragonite!
(The wind from the storm is so furious that it launches Ash and co. off the ship and they
scream in terror as they fall into the vortex. Zekrom and Arceus vanish into the sky. The captain
was able to dock the ship to safety, but is worried about the fate of Ash and co).
Cut to the intro: It's Always You and Me
Details of "new footage" is in brackets with the lines in bold.
(Fade to black. We fade into the Pokémon World, where Ash, Iris and Cilan
are now on a ship heading back to Nuvema Town)
Narrator:
After parting ways with N, and defeating Team Plasma, our heroes now trek back to Nuvema Town, home to Professor Juniper's lab in the Unova region.
Cilan:
We should be docking into Nuvema Town, later this afternoon.
Ash:
(sighs)
Great, because I AM beat.
Iris:
(rolls eyes)
Only a little kid would complain about being tired at a time like this.
(Ash shoots her a death glare)
Cilan:
He does make a point, though.
I concur as well. It'll be nice to have a rest after all we've been through!
Iris:
Whatever.
You two can nap if you want,
(Yawning)
I'm not tired at all.
(Ash gives her another look at what she just said and that she yawned).
The clouds at sea begin to become dark. Zekrom dramatically emerges
from the sky as an Arceus also appears from the opposite direction.
The wind begins to kick up. Meanwhile, TR who were following our heroes by hanging on the ship's anchor, are blown into the sea.
Iris:
(shocked)
No way, It's Zekrom!
Cilan:
But who's that other Pokémon?!
Ash:
(shouting over the wind)
IT'S AN ARCEUS!
Pikachu:
PIKA!
(For some reason the two legendaries suddenly begin attacking the sky for and its
effects on the sea aren't exactly pleasant as the sea is threading the condidtion of the ship!
Zekrom and Arceus then begin attacking each other.)
Ship Captain:
Everyone grab onto something!!
Cilan:
What are Zekrom and Aceus doing?!
Iris:
(pulls out a Poké Ball)
Well I'm not waiting around to find out!
I'm gonna put a stop to it!
Dragonite, I need your help!
(Dragonite comes out)
Iris:
Dragonite, break up Arceus and Zekrom!
Ash:
Pikachu, give them a hand!
(Pikachu jumps onto Dragonite's back and the two fly into the fight)
Iris:
Flamethrower, NOW!
Ash:
Pikachu, Thunderbolt!!
(the two launch the attacks called, and strike the two legendaries and get their attention)
(A Pokémon/Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters series crossover Fanfic)
(takes place before Da! and the Orichalcos arc in Yu-Gi-Oh!.
VT still "voices" Ash. Also, I'll have to split the introduction up into separate posts, as it's too big to fit into one.)
Anyway, without further ado...
Gen6fan presents:
Yu-Gi-Oh!: Destinies United
Introduction (YGO portion):
Yu-Gi-Oh! Universe.
Yugi comes downstairs and greets Solomon Moto.
Solomon:
Good morning, Yugi!
Yugi:
Morning, Grandpa.
(They both walk over to a window and stare into the sky).
Solomon:
Lovely day, isn't it?
Yugi:
Yeah.
(Suddenly, Yugi feels a harsh vibration from the Millennium Puzzle)
Yugi:
(in response to the vibration)
Ah!
(to Yami Yugi in spirit form)
Did you feel that?
Yami:
Yes, I did.
Yugi:
What did you think that was all about?
Yami:
I can't say for certain, but I think the fate of the world is at stake, one more.
Yugi:
Big deal! We've faced that problem before, and we'll do it again.
(notices Yami's stern expression on his face)
What's wrong?
Yami:
It may not that easy this time, Yugi.
Yugi:
What do you mean?
Yami:
(ominously)
I'm beginning to sense that whatever the Puzzle is responding to,
may be involved with the egyptian gods… (casually) and something else.
Yugi:
(facefaults in "response to something else")
Hey, c'mon, Pharaoh! You've gotta be more specific than that!
(notices that Yami's face STILL has a stern expression)
Now what?
Yami:
I'm sorry, Yugi, but I feel that whatever is agitating the gods,
has to do with someone or some-THING, that's not from our world…
Yugi:
Not from our world???
Yami:
Yes, and if we don't get to the bottom of this soon enough,
I'm afraid this could have a devastating effect on not only our world
but the whole universe…
Exactly: that's something that could be fixed immediately.
The mostly miscast main characters' voices, the terrible...terrible...script writing, and the poor dub music and intros/endings...are things that CANNOT be fixed easily.
Pretty much...in a series like Pokemon, you'd only see censors of food and stuff, which kind of just happened a few episodes back in the TPCi dub as well, in terms of apples and bananas being called berries, NOT that it has ANY impact on the dub's quality itself. The only real problem I had with the 4Kids dub was the xenophobia the dubbers had, which made no sense to me, but considering all the good aspects of that dub, that point ended up moot to me.
The TPCi dub excels in making far less errors, having less edits, and keeping more of the Original JPN BGM, but fails at everything else the 4Kids dub excelled at for the most part.
"TPCi is only good at things THAT DON'T MATTER!"
^When it comes down to it, that's basically how I feel in this case as well.^
Besides the awesome voice casting and the great dub intros/BGM 4Kids made for Pokemon, I think they had some pretty sharp script writers. All of that easily made up for the silly censorship and xenophobia in my eyes, even if I didn't like the latter issues with the dub at the time myself.
Also saw the Top 25 Best/Worst episode. I very much like how you put "Gotta Catch Ya Later!" in both categories, explaining why it was one of the best, yet also one of the worst, as well.
