Meet Liara T'Soni, asari researcher. In the first game, she's ... well, as I said, just a researcher. A powerful party member, but still just a researcher. After the events of ME1, everyone goes their separate ways; Tali returns to the Migrant Fleet, Wrex becomes leader of his clan, Garrus becomes a vigilante, Ashley/Kaidan (only one can survive, sadly) continue serving in the Alliance, but Liara ... somehow manages to become an information broker, and based on some of her dialogue to another NPC when you first meet her, she's also become kind of a hardass. Not bad, right? Well ... then things start to get stupid. She gets an entire DLC devoted solely to a mission that gives her major character development, culminating in her becoming the new Shadow Broker, basically the most notorious information broker in all of the galaxy. And did I mention Liara doesn't seem to have much in the way of glaring personality flaws? Tali has her insecurities and geth fears, Wrex is a Proud Warrior Race Guy, Ashley/Kaidan are kind of jerks to you during the second game (and early in the third), and Garrus likes to solve problems with a sniper rifle. But Liara? Oh, she's the nicest girl you'll ever meet. And being an asari, she's pretty much the designated Ms. Fanservice of ME1 and ME3.
I see. o.o I was late because well I was like 5 minutes from finishing a mission in ME2 before dinner, but then mom had an e-mail that I needed to let her check before getting back on the comp ... and then it took her like 10 minutes to even sit down at the comp because she had other stuff to do. :I
