Well, the Three Far-East Asian countries are known for their passion for education... it's just, kinda to much for some of us to bear. Parents, of course, want their kids to do well in school. But in Korea, a college degree is a must in most jobs, and in some cases, you can't get hired if you're not the very best. I watch the news everyday and read newspapers everyday and 5 out of 7 days they're talking about increasing job cuts and unemployment rate. Academic records are, like, the only way for us to get through. Pretty harsh, but the kids are getting used to it. Oh well XDD
And yeah - Starcraft... did you hear about e-sports? Online sports - we've got pro-gamers (not programmers, pro-GAMERS - professional gamers) that have online battles on Starcraft. Heck, there are Cups and Tournaments held playing Starcraft. When Wings of Liberty came out, a lot of people were crazy about it XDD
