I think it is because I am a poet that I can understand any possible symbolism easier.
I do this with my work, sometimes I use hidden things even if they are not intended for the reader.
As I always say, to each their own
Oh, well I get what you are saying and it might probably be true that GF staff do not care too much about the symbolism; but part of me thinks that the designers value their work to a point where they thrive to make it full of symbolism even if their audience doesn't get it. It is some sort of obligation that every writer\ designer feel to make their work the best it could be even if that is not thr objective of the final product.
And thanks, the symbolism of the types of thr pokemon franchise has always been one of my favorite things about pokemon.
well, I am not taking it too far. You can reach the same conclusion if you analyze the moves and the abilities associated with each type. Yeah, I forgot about grass.
The titles of the types in the pokemon franchise do not dp justice to the particulars of the pokemon of the said type. Each type has many meanings, shown and hidden..take the ice type for example..it deals well with ice and also with the absence of emotions since cold is almost always associated with the lack of emotions in literature.
All in all, we we already have light and darkness themes in a lot of types. Ghosts and poison types can also be considered part of the evil clan.
Fighting and psychic are the goood type symbolically. Even the swordsmen of justice of the franchise are fighting types.
Lol I should be paid for my analysis on the series.
