I was waiting the entire day for an upload to come up! By the time I did, some threads had 200 posts in them :|
But you have to look out for the expression, it is SO creepy.
The Top 8 battle could very well be used to showcase two of Ash's Pokémon based on what happened with Snorlax in the recent episode. But now we have to account for Muk, Torkoal, Glalie and Corphish.
I propose that Ash use the Johto starters, Heracross, Muk and Pikachu against the Darkrai trainer, and Glalie against Paul. If the Top 8 battle is long enough (doubtful), Staraptor or Noctowl may be used again, as well. Noctowl's Insomnia is such an asset that it would be a pity to not use it against Darkrai, but I suppose that Darkrai may not even know Dark Void judging from the preview where it abuses Hyper Beam.
While I won't shed any tears over Muk, Glalie or Torkoal, do remember that Pikachu will be around in Isshu, while the rest most likely won't be seen for a very long time. Perhaps it is best that we not have a repeat of the end of the battle against Tyson.
Of the aforementioned three Pokémon, Muk is definitely the one that deserves to have a proper battle the most. Come to think of it, Corphish isn't guaranteed to be used against Conway, either; it shares its VA with Glalie and Conway's Slowking.
Yeah and neither were fitting in with their trainer, Ash got them and took them to a higher level, therefore Ash's training is validated. Air Master takes Gliscor to a higher level, then Ash's training methods are invalidated... simple as that.
Why? It has no personalities, nothing distinctive...
Now we really do need to see some parts of the Top 32 and Top 8 battles to make room for Quilava. I'll be very annoyed if Heracross gets the added screentime instead of Quilava again.
Heracross, Donphan, the Johto starters and Noctowl... Too good to be true?
I do... The writers are just sacrificing 4 years of good writing just to give the Gliscor fans some fanservice. They are just taking every bit of substance out of the Ash v Paul plot...
and therefore you care... I meant sane people Piplup... Does anybody sane care about Bulbasaur?
I just can't see what else they can do? Hopefully, I'll be pleasantly surprised but after the latest tidbit of info, my faith in the writers has greatly diminished...
Does anybody care about Bulbasaur? I mean really ?
Well sue me for wanting some diversity... I just think that as far as Ash is concerned, they've done all they can with grass types as far as battling styles... Either they further develop Bayleef or else why bother rehashing a character?
Seeing the grass type starter in contests would be different... We've seen fire, we've seen water (ok with Bulbasaur we've seen grass too, but that don't count...)
I thought I'd be nice and advertise for him a bit but nobody voluntered on my blog. Wonder why?
If RSE remakes come, I want to see his reaction when Sceptile and Swellow don't win Ash the league
