So yeah quality can come in sometimes. Though memories come in at other times aswell.
Proof quality isn't a big thing to my special feelings is that there is 2 Pokemon episodes that I'm 100% sure that sit in the special category at least despite being indecisive. Pokemon I choose you and fear factor phony.
Why?
1st episode of 4kids and 1st episode of PUSA.
Funny really because Pokemon I choose you has some scenes with some really jerky animation that annoys me and fear factor phony had some weird random moments that made me think WTF.XD
Both special however.
Sorry about the 3 visitor messages. Couldn't fit everything.lol
However My neighbour totoro is a favourite aswell. It's lighthearted and a great film again I can watch over and over. It does have the special feel though. The film reminds me when I was a kid. It was part of my learning during my animation course and reminds me of all my friends. My teacher loved the film.
Then we see another film spirited away which is different again. This has the special feel aswell. I fell in love with the animation and the entire design of the film. This is more to do with the quality of the film and the timing.
Well as said kind of confusing. Quality can be one reason but it's not the only reason and sometimes it's not the reason at all. Everything has it's own reason that sets it apart. The special episodes are usually amongst my favourites and yet not all my favourites are special to me.
Some are just favourites while others are favourites with something more connected to it.
For example My favourite film Kiki's delivery service is great. I can watch it over and over again and don't regret having it in my collection. However the special feeling that sets it apart isn't really there. It's fun to watch though. I like it over most films made.
So yeah I've been trying to work this out for the last 3 days. For some dumb reason when I see an uneveness in the list of PUSA versus 4kids I start evening it up which isn't being true to myself since the way I even it up I just end up slapping favourites in rather than special episodes. At my rate I'm going nowhere fast and here I was hoping I'd do a mini marathon on cartoons that feel special to me.=/
At the moment I decided to make a list of episodes and movies (cartoons) that are special/precious to me. Kind of hard to explain but while I have favourites and top favourites, I feel cartoons that are precious to me actually pushes above those top favourites slightly. Practically if I lost them I would try to get them back first. They give off a warm/excited feeling so to speak.
It was going well until I hit a problem. Good old Pokemon. Trying to work out what episodes and movies I actually consider special and not just a favourite is proving harder than I thought. I have alot of favourites though special ones gets a little confusing considering it actually scares me that while I'm at the moment you know like both dubs evenly, the thought of one dub having more special episodes to me over the other is kind of frightening for me. Though at the same time it'd be nice to find a bit more truth about myself.
