Me too, the Eevee merchandise is what I am most interested in at the moment. Im most looking forward to mid-late January because that's when we should begin to get most of the information. We'd hopefully get a hint from Coro Coro about an announcement for their next issue, more merchandise listings should appear, and hopefully the announcement of the games too if Gen V's announcement is anything to go by.
Glad that we got our first Merchandise hint today. I was figuring that we would start getting them in January, but it was a nice surprise.

It has two hidden Pokemon, and I'm assuming one is just a random Pokemon we already know about. I don't know why they do that but they have the tendency to hide a perfectly normal Pokemon in the merchandise. I suspect the other will be a brand new Pokemon. Of course, they could still both be brand new Pokemon but we can be assured that obviously at least one of them is. Hopefully more merchandise pages slip out soon.
Nothing at all. Actually there is nothing interesting :/. We don't even know if Episode of N will have a new opening.
But that new year's card is pretty reassuring, Episode of N won't going to last for a long time. Imo we have to wait until February.
That would be nice, I thought the whole Unknown mystery was really random because it really didn't seem to go anywhere and always felt unfinished so for them to clear it up and finally put complete focus on it would be interesting.

I'm worried about Formes for Gen VI. I really hope we're not going to be another 4 - 5 formes. I don't mind if they give ONE legendary a forme, but when the majority of legendaries get one its just annoying. The thing with Gen VI is that since it's on the 3DS it obviously won't be programmed into the game since it can just be added on as DLC so we won't be having those in-game hints in the programming about formes anymore. I also think DLC completely removes the typical 3rd version game right out of the picture - rightfully so. If they go ahead and make a 3rd version again, people will obviously not appreciate it due to the fact on the 3DS it will hardly seem like a difference since people will just say 'they could have added this as DLC, not make a whole game with just a few upgrades'. The fact 3DS has DLC should force them to hopefully make sequels again, but make BETTER sequels. They'll need to do something big like add an area of islands off map, etc.
I will agree with you on the point of not ever wanting to see remakes hopefully after the Gen III remakes are released, lol. Gen III are the last remakes I would like to see, I would not like to see D/P or B/W remakes... ever. What do you think about the possibility of only an Emerald remake happening if they really to intend to release a remake of the 3rd generation? I was thinking that maybe they may release an Emerald remake in 2014 for its 10th anniversary if they really are planning to do a Hoenn remake, I think it would be more fitting.

But I totally agree with you on Gen VI hopefully shaking things up by incorporating Hoenn somehow. Hoenn clearly needs to be upgraded soon since once the move to the 3DS occurs, Hoenn will be completely inaccessible so incorporating Hoenn into the Gen VI games would be great. I would actually prefer that ONLY if they were to give it a proper story. The only reason Im so supportive of the Gen III remakes is because Im worried that if they did include it as an extra region in the Gen VI games, that they would completely butcher it like they did Kanto in G/S/C - it had no story at all. If they were to incorporate Hoenn, I hope the entire journey throughout the region would have story with it. If that was to happen, I would be totally fine, I just don't want it to be treated as an 'extra' region and added on for the fake of adding it on.

Game Freak really should step up now, if they aren't going to include Hoenn in the Gen VI games then I hope that the new region will be much larger than previous ones - or even have an area off the map like the Sevii Islands. Im sick of the one region formula.

For the next region, what would your wishes for it be? How would you want it to look/represent?
It strikes me interested that they say they will evolve the Pokémon world rather than the series. Arguably, it's the series that need to evolve, but "evolving the series" is a much more generic statement that would probably mean nothing. Guess they just mean Generation VI though.
I can't believe the remake vs Gen VI debate is still going on.

I for one would absolutely love R/S remakes, they were my favorite games but it's clearly not coming next. I do honestly think it may be likely for sometime during Gen VI, but its clear that the main Gen VI pair will be released first. It's possible R/S remakes may come later in Gen VI though, Hoenn will be the only region not playable on the system. But then again they could still do anything to rule out any sort of remake eg. just adding Hoenn as a side region to the main Gen VI region which would rule out the need for a remake. I can definitely see Game Freak revisiting Hoenn next generation somehow, someway but it is clear that Gen VI is coming first.

It wouldn't make any logical sense at all to release the remakes next, whether it be on DS or 3DS. Releasing it next on DS would be absolutely stupid for obvious reasons, and making a remake the first 3DS game doesn't sound like a good strategy. I can't see how anyone can logically argue that remakes are next.
Uhuh basically that. What I mean to say is that perhaps the DLC could go as far as to add other regions to expand the game, and not just add on to the current region. Makes things more interesting, and perhaps the series can get an overall plot.
Oracle style games for Pokemon would be one hell of a feat, but that's taking it to an extreme I doubt most fans would take lightly. I am open to it however, as the oracle games are the best examples on how duality can be used as a selling point and as a legit reason to buy both. As for the DLC while its very hypocritical, its some what justified cause 3rd versions are dying out, and DLC will likely be what event Pokemon will turn out to be, and that's where the comment is pointed at, hopefully. Cause lets face it, if GF were to be run by a money hungry madman we would be paying 5 bucks already just to have Keldeo, and perhaps even more for stuff like Arceus and Genesect. And its pretty damn hopeful, cause that means whatever DLC would come out would be pretty more substantial then a battle frontier and 3 routes. And you know I was wondering, what if gen 6 becomes an end all gen? Meaning, what if Gen 6 gives us a new region, but the incentive of it would be expanding its story into a bigger plot, that spans several regions without the need of the gyms. Meaning they could give us 3 regions in X game, 3 in the other, and owning both from the beginning would give you the entire picture. 2 games for an entire gen, but 3 regions each with a story that ties up in all 6.
So perhaps something like giving us 2 regions in gen 6, but with one of them coming later in a B2W2 scenario, with gyms taking a back seat, right? Cause to be honest thats something that could happen as I mentioned in the thread. The main version from here on out would be able to fulfil 3rd game and B2W2 purposes alone with the DLC and anything later would need something dramatic worth purchasing. I do believe gen 6 will be ripe with such leaps, but the way B2W2 was treated, anything goes.
i always get excited for masuda on pokemon, but i can't ask him since he wouldn't be able to tell me really and i don't like asking stuff i know he cant answer XD guess we will have to wait and see
Probably waiting to put something on the 3DS. New hardware and the jump in power might give em enough breathing space, and perhaps some inspiration considering how if they do what they did from gba to ds it would be a mess. Now on thewhole new generation bit yess I agree its not needed but with this news its a bit unlikely they mean to ebolve the series with an already stagnate region, u less of course they do something really fresh
Something like what was assumed fr9m gen 5, meaning less dependency on gyms or perhaps a better integration of it in a general story sense. BW was a step in the right direction but B2W2 made me wary that Gf m8ght never get out of its playing it safe rut. Which is weird to be honest cause most if not all of the Nintendo franchis3s have taken leaps and bounds with the risks of not playing it safe and its been rewarding so far.
Well still, putting Game Freak's phrasing aside, we still have the Eevee short for introducing a new elemental type.

Oh, I see then, pretty ironic since I'm religious. XD
That practically confirms that Gen VI is coming next year AND confirms that games really are being released next year to those who were doubting it for some irrational reason who believed no new mainline games would be released next year.
I heard you live in Israel, so I guess you don't believe in Jesus Christ as your promised messiah, but if it's fine with you, just want to greet you a Merry Christmas!
Just saw your thread regarding Game Freak's New Year greeting. That alone already confirms that Generation VI will be indeed in 2013; although I do hope that "the next evolution" phrase they used not only refer to new Pokemon and region, but that it also means that there will be some "evolution, expansion, and advancements in gameplay", in which we can finally hope for the long-awaited new elemental type.
Yep, I really dislike that this generation didn't have a Wii game with battle elements. This whole generation has been disappointing to me.
Just a personal preference as I don't have a Wii U and don't plan on getting one and since the 3DS is capable of handling such a game, it would be pretty cool to have a game like that on a handheld. Logically, it would make sense for them to release it on the Wii U though - like I said, just a personal preference.
I'm looking forward to the merch listings because whenever we see those pop up it will mean that the announcement is very, very close. But that's only if the merch listings leak early enough, since the announcement can still come out of no where first.

They've had all of 2010, 2011, 2012 and will likely have a good portion of 2013 to work on the Gen VI games so I really hope the games are expansive. Now that the 3DS switch will occur, the amount of memory able to be stored on that card will hopefully push them to make a very expansive game for once. Gen V was extremely disappointing to me in that I just feel it lacked after the main story was over. I don't understand how some say Gen V is their favorite.

I would also love some sort of Stadium type game on the 3DS, or something like XD Gale Of Darkness.. but I guess if they were going to try for that then it'd be on the Wii U most likely.
