  • Perhaps I abbreviated it too much. The full translated name is 'Pocket Monsters Black/White Official Guide: Wireless Play: Special Secrets Book', Serebii likely translated its function and not its name.
It has 'special secrets' not covered in other guides such as Unity Tower, the 50-trade Master Ball, full Hi Link and Black City/White Forest mechanics and about 80 pages of DW info. Nothing really about the characters.
I don't know. I've rarely seen full scans of guidebooks, as far as I know usually only art or things the uploader decides are important seem to leak. I don't remember seeing any scans at all for the Special Secrets Book for BW other than people showing off the serial number to show their Porygon was legit. When I ordered it and put most of the new info onto Bulbapedia, I seemed to be the only one who had put that info on the internet at all...
If there is information on artpages, hopefully at least the artpages will be scanned in (I believe guide artpages were the only way that Prof. Araragi's first name was known, so hopefully there'll be some new info at least).
I introduced the idea we've been discussing about a rerelease of Emerald in the Pokémon Remake Discussion thread. I wonder how it will be received by fans for and against remakes...
Yeah i noticed that too. Looking back at archives he even posted in Misty club on bulbagarden talking how he liked her in chronicles and Hoenn(of course he will never admit anything good about Johto, hating it completely). And he dud seemed more respectful toward other opinions not shooting down any speculation on Misty return.

But he changed opinion becoming anti 100% and i heard from some veterans that he is May fanboy holding grudge against Misty fandom because of few individuals bashing his favorite(way to out everyone in same basket). He always try to diminish character role and importance she had portraying her as minor and insignificant for anime even when she was main. And its incredibly annoying when he try to speak in everyone name, like "majority share same views as he does".

I never, but never saw that much negativity in threads about Brock, Dawn, Tracey, May(obviously)but in Misty threads its always same old song. Sad really, he is too much obsessed with hate against her and im worried for his health., I can only imagine how rage he would be if he is wrong and writers bring her in BW2.

Sigh. But im glad there are objective and sane people around here, like you mate. You are always so civil, mature and look at things logically without any bias present from your side. That's why i deeply respect you as person and thank you for contributing with your posts to make bulbagarden more civilized and normal, which would fall apart without people like you.
A poor continuation though. Hopefully GF finds even legging to get a better overall feel for the gen when it comes to the story, cause BW, and to some minor extent B2W2, showed potential to give us a world that we would want to love, not to appreciate.
I couldn't not to notice debate you had with Gliscord about Misty return and i enjoyed in well thought put posts you provided there. He seems to be always so negative and anti Misty oriented dismissing any chance of her return. And of course same random bullshit he spreads around "how May was most popular girl", "writers dislike Misty, thats why she's been absent for so long", "Togepi destroyed her "etc. False claims on so many grounds.

Tell me mate out of curiosity, has he always been like this?
Regarding the content such as a Red Equvilent battle, more new gym leaders, a deeper storyline, the original dragon, N's Cube, Keldeo's Resolution Forme, the World Tournament, and the Challenge Mode, which basically doesn't belong in a traditional RPG game (only action RPGs).
Well, the only identifying feature is the beard, and Giallo's beard is closest to Rood's (though his face definitely doesn't look like the rest of his art). Going by the images given, Special's Giallo looks closest to the game's Rood. I do wonder where the artist got the designs though since Zinzolin is pretty spot-on, but as far as we know, that's the only one.

Interestingly, when I tried to play with the contrast with this image to get a better view at the third Sage's features (at least the outlines), his hair and mustache fits Bronius the best, but again, doesn't fit any of the Special images. I really hope that we get some concept art of the rest of the Seven Sages with the guide.

I've still got to wonder how Pokemon Special mixed up Giallo and Rood's design. I saw some people on Serebii note the BW Opening scene, but people on there were saying Rood was Giallo based on the Special design despite the image obviously corresponding to Rood's sprite.
    Everybody do the Ghetsis~

I guess the B2W2 art being revealed got everyone looking back to compare.

As for the son bit, it was mentioned in Japanese BW, as Bulbapedia's page says: "While N and Ghetsis share the name Harmonia, neither Ghetsis nor N explicitly claim that they are father and son in any translated versions (outside of the original Japanese, in which Ghetsis does refer to N as his son while berating him)."
As it has pieces of information about Ghetsis (and N) I don't believe were revealed anywhere else, I thought you may be interested in the text here, so translated it.
Both sales and quality. You guys want Game Freak to surpass the sales the Gen II Pokemon games and fulfill your dangerously high expectations.
Well, it is supposed to be the outlet spreading rumours...though it doesn't really take a lot of fact checking to know where they're getting 301.

Also, I thought we were the lowest common denominator because we generally whine and complain for every single title that's announced.
But have you seen yesterday's blogs and the backlash at the BW2 Promo trailer? Everyone is being negative on BW2 for not meeting their expectations.
I'm pretty surprised on how many things the game decided to have untouched, and all the mystery surrounding it. What I mean is, BW and Pt did it, and now B2W2 doing it is event stranger, considering how sequels are not high priority, nor are they things they plan for. We're I'm going with this is that it seems GF doesn't really care all that much for the plot, eh?
There's an Otamaro maniac who has 5 Otamaro and wants to have another Otamaro to make a chorus. If you give him an Otamaro, he lines the six up and makes them cry melodically. He then says if you want to hear their chorus again, bring your Otamaro along anytime.

And quite a lot of the NPCs still seem to be around, except in areas that got revamped.

I don't know how long the website's been updated. Kind of disappointed that this is all we got. I really hope they aren't planning on not giving us Banjiro's art since it was bad enough that we don't get art for the rest of the Seven Sages. Interestingly, Ghetsis looks like he may be missing an arm (and he tied his hair back...)
