  • The others listed were that it was two years later, and two games, as mentioned in the Iwata Asks column.
Let's see what I can find... unfortunately kanjiful text in images is much harder to read for me, so I may have missed some, but here's some points I could spot:
Also not linked to the interview, new information about the gameplay:
    Hmmmm....that's interesting.

It may be getting closer to what I was thinking regarding an Oracle series type game. I didn't think they'd actually do something like this this early.
By the way, that translation concerning StreetPass is badly misled, though not incorrect as such (at least until they started adding notes in brackets).

The term Surechigai Tsuushin (すれちがい通信) has been used in various different software, and seemingly translated differently each time. In Nintendogs, it became Bark Mode; in Dragon Quest, it was translated Tag Mode; in Pokemon BW, it is the Tag Log; and in the 3DS as StreetPass.

As such, B2W2 are hardly the first DS games to use ''StreetPass'' -- those were Nintendogs; and it won't only work on a 3DS.
Surprised they didn't make a big deal out of this! Really glad to see this thought turns out to be true. I hope it will be used onto something meaningful and/or practical. Maybe the name -- "Memory Link" --, hints on something?

Also, apparently the games support StreetPass:

"Confirmation on Join Avenue. The residents increase depending on Streepass, trading, battles and internet connection (Streetpass for a DS game is a first, it goes without saying that it will only work on 3DS)."

Sounds like an in-game representation of the StreetPass Mii Plaza, which is very interesting. I wonder if it will be limited to those shops. Either way, even as a simple demonstration of what can be done, it's nice that they bothered.
Maybe they'd make it so that you'd have limited control over Hilbert/Hilda's Pokemon from B/W. For instance, you wouldn't be able to deposit the Pokemon to the PC and you wouldn't be able to trade them, either. Or maybe there just won't be access to Pokemon Centers during their portion of the story, or Hilbert/Hilda wouldn't have access to their C-Gear.
I've been thinking about both possibilities (traveling as a party vs. splitting up), and I agree that having them split up would give us a chance to shed some light on N and possibly Hilbert/Hilda's development in the past two years. Maybe they could start out traveling together but then have to split up for some reason.
Now that you mention it, it's probably better if they split up rather than travel together.
Yeah, maybe we'll get to choose between playing as Hilbert/Hilda or the B2/W2 player character.
Memory Link... unfortunately what was shown is just a list of warnings, so not much actual detail.
I don't know which way to take it, but from what that dictionary definition reads it would sound like some sort of tangible goal to me.

Well, I'll translate the whole thing and check over it, then post it. It might not be the feature, but that would mean there are two ways of unlocking things in B2W2 using save files from B2W2. Though they have had different features cross before with the Pokeshifter and the Transfer Machine in BW, so maybe that's not a good argument.
I've never seen it used before, so can't answer that. I'd guess it could be things like the World Tournament, an inevitable battle facility if one exists, collecting all the Medals, and so on, but couldn't say for sure.

Also, the 'key' feature was detailed on the Japanese Global Link site. It is called 'Memory Link' and allows a copy of B2W2 to ''inherit'' a save file from B/W/B2/W2. What exactly that entails is unknown.
It seems to be an term I've never seen before. 'extra challenges after the main story', perhaps?
Looking up the word in a dictionary, gives me this: やり込み 【やりこみ】 (n) playing through a video game for additional challenge (e.g. as quickly as possible, to obtain the highest score, without using a certain weapon, etc.)
    True, I agree.

We should get a ROM leak tomorrow or on Friday, so its getting very close now. I wonder how the Anti Piracy will be, it took less than 12 hours for a proper anti piracy patch for Pokemon Conquest to come out so the anti-piracy for that was fixed very fast, so I would hope its the same for B2W2 although I would imagine it to have more AP than just the white screen like Conquest did.
People on 2ch said they would post pictures of their play through on Wednesday, and it is Wednesday afternoon there so I wonder if they will still do it. I expect the ROM to leak tomorrow night (Japan time), there is a chance it could still leak tonight but Id say its quite unlikely at this point.
I thought this would get a perfect 40/40 too, but if this game is somehow worse than BW then I probably won't enjoy it at all. I did enjoy BW while I was playing through the main story, but the entire post-game left a sour taste in me and made me dislike the game because it was absolutely boring after the League was done with. I was really hoping these games would be much better, but that Famitsu score doesn't make me very confident although I'll just wait to judge it myself I guess.
Famitsu gave B2W2 a score of 36/40. Lower than what they gave BW (40/40) and HGSS (37/40). I find it worrying for some reason, even though I know they are not the best at rating games considering some other non-Pokemon games they have given some pretty ridiculous scores. I just find it worrying that it got less than BW.
I'm just setting my expectations to be really low now so that whatever they do come up with doesn't look as bad. I mean, I'd hope things couldn't get as bad as I'd imagine it to be.
Judging by the new Unova map, it seems it connects to the two islands near Undella except that it goes OFF the current map.

This could mean we'll get an entire new map with those two islands and possibly another region/set of islands?
